Mulberry House, Dowlais

Very spacious inside, excellent communication from the owners. The house was clean, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. Primarily stayed here for its proximity to BPW, which was a few minutes drive away. There's an Asda and other shops close by, and not that far from Cardiff. Mulberry House was great value for money, and we'd absolutely stay here again.

We were not prepared for how steep the street is! Parking is at a premium, and it's easier to park on the adjoining (flatter) street. The stairs inside the property are just as steep, and a handrail on both sides might be a consideration.

Genuinely everything was lovely. We had wonderful 3 nights. The hosts were kind enough to let us check out later after confirming with the cleaner, due to there being no arrival after us, which made the trip even better. Will definitely be coming back as soon as possible. The location is great, not far from Pen y Fan, which was a nice hike. Lovely kitchen, with appliances that worked, and all the utensils needed for cooking. Big, comfy couches near a nice big dining table! Heating worked amazingly. Fresh towels and linen. Nice sized bedrooms! Though the place is pet-friendly it feels so clean like it has never seen a pet before - that meaning, I am definitely bringing my yorkie next time!

If I had any requests at all - this is genuinely a stretch, I had to think extremely long! It would've been nice to have a long standing/hanging mirror on a wall, for that final look before you leave the house, potentially in the entrance hall. Aside from that - I didn't feel a lack of anything.

Great location for Bike Park Wales, very quiet area. Cosy and comfortable - good facilities and great communication with owners

Really splitting hairs here but my pillow was pretty lumpy and thin! Really picking at something here - it was fab.
