Perfect accommodation- weekend in Berchtesgaden

Li was incredibly sweet and helpful upon arrival. She goes above and beyond to cater to her guests too!! We had access to a full bed and bath, laundry machine, and mini kitchen (including utensils, bowls, cups, etc). The beds were comfy and clean. I really enjoyed having a personal sink in the room as well- good for brushing teeth and getting ready! Li got us city bus passes for the days we were there which was very helpful. She also gave us a mini tour of the area while guiding us to her family restaurant, which had tasty Chinese food and beautiful views of the mountains. The hotel is a short walk or bus from the main train station. I would recommend staying here if you’re travelling to Berchtesgaden :)

The owner is so friendly and very hospitable and runs this small business and we loved her! She does not speak english well at all but uses google translate to communicate very well in english and german. She gave us a 15 minute orientation explaining everything, where to park, etc. They have a chinese restaurant in town called San restaurant but didnt have time to try it. Bed was clean.

It was pretty hard to find, it's located on the top floor of a three story building and only has three rooms in close quarters. There was 1 communal toilet and 1 communal shower between three rooms and a sink in the hallway. Was under the impression that there was a private restroom inside the room so was not great havjng to take turns with other guests for the bathroom. Washer and dryer are in the same room as the shower. There were quite a bit of earwigs and spiders. If there were better pest control the facilities would have more comfortable.

This place is basic, but super clean and comfortable, convenient and a friendly and helpful manager.

Frau Liu doesn't speak English, and mainly speaks Chinese. However, she is friendly, an excellent communicator and is very skilled with the AI translator on her smart phone, and handles the check-in process efficiently. We felt safe and comfortable in the accommodation. The bedrooms, shared bathroom and shared toilet are absolutely sparkling clean and most basic necessities are provided. The accommodation is in a convenient location in the town centre, close to bakery, eateries, tourist info and bus stop.

The accommodation was a little hard to find when we first arrived on a rainy evening. We really needed the navigator on our smart phone. Information about a bus to catch from the Hauptbahnhof would have been helpful. An extra pillow or two on the bed would be great, and a bottle opener in the cutlery supplies. The accommodation is on the 3rd floor of an old building with no elevator - be aware if you have heavy luggage!

Property owner provided toiletries, one which I like is paper towels for drying hands.

Location is up the hill, it is tough carrying a big luggage and if you arrive late there is no bus service. Property is old and you have to carry your luggage up to the 3rd floor. It also took some getting used to trying to lock the door.

Very good overall!

My room has a tap and sink, which was very nice. However i am not sure whether every room has this. The host are very welcoming. There is free coffee and ginger tea outside the room, which is very heart warming and considerate. The bathroom and toilet are very clean.

The bed is not very comfortable. Too bouncy .

If you are thinking about it - go ahead Do It!

Location is amazing right in the old town - host does not speak English but got there with google translate! Shared bathroom but with a separate toilet was not a problem at all Room was a little basic but perfectly functional and very reasonably priced would certainly stay there again You have to pay a local tourist tax only a few euros depending on your stay but in return you get a transportation ticket valid on local trains and busses and we found it saved more than we had to pay!

Berchtesgaden has lots of steep slopes unless you are fairly fit get a taxi from the station if you have suitcases and or heavy luggage!

Fantastic location, fridge in the room and got bowls so had cereal etc in the morning. Very pleasant landlady. Sharing the bathroom wasn't an issue but would have been ideal if had a sink in our room.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable but nothing is ever like your own bed.

The lady is very helpful and polite. She only knows Chinese and German,Firstly I thought she was rough but after an hour I recognise she is very lovable and helpful. The room is very clean and the common bathroom is perfect , it is enough and no need for a private bathroom. I stayed with my family. That lady give me a Guest card for free and it is enough for travelling by bus for the entire days. The room is very spacious.

Nice and clean stay in the city center.

The room and the bathroom was very clean and the host was very welcoming. They gave us bus cards to travel around town for free. Everything was better than expected and we had a lovely stay here.

No elevator so we had to carry the bag up 3 stories.

A good place overshadowed by lack of respectable host

The inn is equipped well, humble and modest. Value for money is there.

The lady staff is rude if you don't speak German and don't pay a fee for 10 euro. She speaks Chinese and German only, she gets angry at you if you don't understand something. She was resourceful and sometimes very mindful, but bad manners for a host. The affordability is key here, due to the high prices for solo travellers and the overbooked single hostel in the region of berchtesgaden. It's still a solid alternative

Central location, value for money. You can't expect anything more, it just serves the purpose. Good for short stay and budget trip. They give information on bus timings, parking etc. If you're staying more than one day, you'd also get a guest card for free public transport.

Lack of English support. Old property, 3 floor upstairs without lift. One could consider it as an alternative to hostel but not as a holiday home. There's literally nothing you could do here except a night stay.

The location is excellent, in the city center, only one stop away from the city railway station, and you have to start from the railway station to go to any attractions. The price is very cheap, every house is clean, the owner is very nice. Great value for money, very suitable for families.
