The balcony view was very nice, was unhappy with the problems other people reported and still were not fixed by the time we arrived. It just goes to show that they didn’t care enough about the problems to fix them for other guests

Our stay was unfortunately a major letdown. I booked this condo through Booking.com, but the management company, Southern Vacation Rentals, created a stressful situation before we even arrived. They contacted my husband, not me (the booker), demanding another credit card on file, threatening to deactivate our door code if we didn't comply. Since Booking.com already had my card, this felt like a scam. The confusion led to us being locked out upon arrival, starting our vacation on a very sour note. The unit was supposedly "newly remodeled," but this only seemed true for the living room couch. The furniture in both bedrooms was outdated, and a lazy chair in the living room was broken and wouldn't recline. The balcony furniture looked to be new and very colorful, which was a nice touch—but unfortunately, that was the only positive update we saw. The issues went far beyond outdated furniture: Master Bedroom & Bathroom: · The owner locked the large walk-in closet, leaving us only a tiny closet for our belongings—very inconvenient for a 5-day stay. · The electrical outlet in the master bathroom was faulty; my charger cord kept falling out, making it unusable. Second Bedroom: · There were no pillowcases on the pillows. · Worse, one pillow had blood stains on it. This was absolutely unacceptable and made us question the cleanliness of the entire unit. Appliance Nightmares: · Ice Maker: The refrigerator icemaker didn't work. There once was an ice maker that made ice to fill coolers, but it was replaced with a wine refrigerator. So we had no ice at all. There were ice trays, but they were dirty and we didn't want to use them. · Dishwasher: Wasn't secured to the cabinet and leaked water and soap all over the floor. The leak was so bad it caused the water to stop working while my husband was in the shower! A repairman was sent out but falsely reported everything as fixed.
