Port View Modern Apartment, Corfu Town

The apartment has two bedrooms and a lounge and is ok for a family with children. The location is close to the promenade. The kitchen is equipped with dishes and everything you need. There is a coffee machine which is ok. There is a side view of the sea from the terrace.

The apartment is in an old building on the second floor. The stairs are inconvenient to climb and descend. You can hear too much from the neighboring rooms, especially when you ring the doorbell and when you open and close the front door, it feels like they are entering your apartment. The bathroom has a small shower cabin with a curtain and water always comes out of it after a shower. The biggest problem is the parking lot. Although it says you can park on the street, there is almost never a free space, especially since there is a motorcycle shop opposite and the employees have half the street occupied with motorcycles, and even when a parking space is freed from the parking lot, they immediately put two motorcycles in each one just so that no one else can park. And all this is done out of spite to annoy tourists, a shame for a nation that is part of the EU. I think that is the biggest reason I would not return to this apartment again.

Struttura esattamente come in foto. Spyros, il proprietario molto gentile e disponibile (il nostro volo ha avuto più di un'ora di ritardo ed era già previsto a tarda sera) ad aspettarci e fornici tutte le info necessarie. Zona ben servita e ad un venti minuti di cammino dal centro della cittadina, possibilità di parcheggio nelle immediate vicinanze dell'appartamento.

Strada un pò rumorosa

Un apartament bine utilat, paturi confortabile, lenjerie curata, prosoape curate, aer conditionat in toate camerele, balcon generos si intim datorita copertinei extensibile. Mare avantaj masina de spalat, fier de calcat, masa de calcat, daca stai mai multe zile ai nevoie sa speli si sa calci hainele. Destul de multe magazine in apropiere, Old Town la cateva minute de mers pe jos, foarte multe firme pentru a inchiria masina in apropriere, foarte multe agentii pentru croaziere. Am fost impresionati ca am gasit periute de dinti noi, sigilate. Bucatarie utilata destul de bine.

Un oarecare dezavantaj ar fi zgomotul stradal, in zona strazile sunt cu sens unic si strada la care are vedere apartamentul este foarte tranzitata doarece este singura cu sens invers fata de restul care sunt paralele. Zgomot destul destul de puternic se aude de la avioane cand decoleaza, dar de pe balcon e foarte frumos sa le vezi cum decoleaza deasupra ta. Usile si geamurile antifoneaza destul de bine, dar nici noi nu suntem asa sensibili. Lucruri care ar putea fi imbunatatite: Curatenia - se putea insista un pic mai mult, a fost murdar pe jos. Schimbata plita sau tigaile, oalele - dureaza foarte mult pana se incalzeste orice. Calculata hartia igienica mai optim sa ajunga tot sejurul. In 7 zile nu ne-au fost schimbate prosoapele si am avut un singur set de pers (nici nu am cerut proprietarului, le-am spalat seara si pana a doua zi erau uscate). Un cuptor cu microunde ar fi foarte bun pentru a putea incalzii cate ceva rapid.

The location is great, walkable distance to the city center and close to the airport. The mattress are good, the apartment itself looks clean and fresh with a nice view from the balcony

Despite the advantages of location and cleanliness - overall experience left a bittersweet aftertaste due to several reasons. The first is despite having the A/C in each room, one is barely alive, maybe maintenance of the filtering or freon was not done before the summer season. Two others seem to ignore the temperature adjustments, so having a thin sheet wakes you up from cold. The alternative is to open windows, where is constant noise of motorbikes, road, airplanes engines, and church bells at 7 am. Trying out different combinations with open windows or closed windows during our three day stay to mitigate the discomfort did not help much and overall group feedback about sleep was disappointing. There is not much owners of the property can do with the outside noise of course, but for the price and rating the feeling was that everyday additional work is required to get some sleep. Expectations are that Air conditioning is adjustable, working, bigger blankets are available, and better sound isolation is there. The rating of 9+ puts high expectation on the property, unfortunately it was not met for the group and hopefully the feedback will be taken into account for the future guests
