Holiday Apartment on Lago Maggiore - Lagocamp

Spotlessly clean, smells good (not perfumed), AC in every room, comfortable beds, sofa, and chairs, well-stocked kitchen (including sponge, towel, soap, mini oil and vinegar, moka cafeteria, drip coffeemaker, but no toaster), high wood beam ceilings and tile floors. Huge balcony facing the lake and mountains. Private outside staircase to your door. Dedicated parking spot was close by. The location was excellent - about 500m walk through the campground to the beautiful rocky beach, large grassy area across the stream with huge trees providing shade, museum next door was great, and several restaurants within walking distance. I also enjoyed being near the campground cafe and store which was convenient. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. SUP and canoe rental available on site.

Wifi doesn’t reach the apartment so you have to go to the cafe/reception area to take advantage of the free WiFi, but I really didn’t mind for this trip. Be aware that 1) you must bring your own towels or you can rent them, and 2) you must clean the kitchen and floors before you leave (the sign says that if you fail to clean they can charge you 80€). Also, for anyone with mobility issues or a lot of luggage, there are quite a lot of stairs up and down between the apartment and the parking area. It is a bit pricey but it is very comfortable, spotless, and well maintained.
