Town: Idyllically settled along the South Devon Coast, with easy access to the popular destinations of Torquay and Babbacombe Bay is the delightful suburb of St Marychurch. A wander through the suburb will find an excellent selection of eateries, including pubs, restaurants, and takeaways, as well as a bakery and ice cream parlour. There are also well-stocked shops for picking up any last-minute essentials and independent boutiques to peruse. Explore the delights of the Babbacombe village where you can delight at the miniature scenes and villagers on offer or check out the Babbacombe Cliff Railway where you can enjoy scenic rides from Oddicombe Beach, all the way up to the clifftops which promise stunning views. Be sure to make a stop at Bygones, a large, life-size Victorian shopping street which houses a 28-foot model railway, sweet shop and a World War I trench replica. Walkers will have found their haven with the fantastic South West Coast Path nearby, offering the chance to take in an abundance of beautiful scenery, including Hope’s Nose and Thatcher Rock.
