Hotel Roklina

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam, immer hilfsbereit und hat uns sogar am ersten Tag nach der Unterkunft noch Halbpension Abendessen angerichtet, obwohl wir später ankamen. Der Wellnessbereich war sauber, entspannend nach dem wandern und das Zimmer super schön, gemütlich eingerichtet und das ganze Hotel ist liebevoll saisonal dekoriert und alles im Naturstil mit viiieell Holz.

Es gibt servicetechnisch überhaupt gar nichts auszusetzen. Wir waren stets satt mit einem super Halbpension Menü und einem hervorragenden Frühstücksbuffet. Seeeehr lecker

Veľmi útulné, rodinné prostredie a skvelé jedlo (mali sme polpenziu). Oceňujem aj super polohu, bezproblémový parking a vstupenky do Slovenského raja v cene pobytu.

Location is nice, around 1km from the Slovakia paradise trailhead, although you need to walk a little bit on a road to get to the trail. View from the road in front of the hotel is also really nice. Staff is super friendly and helpful and were alleviating shortcoming of the property - for example room did not have a fridge, but when we asked staff they offered to store our food in the fridge in the kitchen or in the drink fridge in the dining room. The spa area is also nice (although opening hours did not match the booking ones).

First of all I think the description of the rooms is super misleading - they say room has garden view, mountain view and even landmark view! But actually most rooms do not have any of that (probably just like two most premium ones actually do get any view at all). We got a room on a ground floor, with view straight onto some trees and a road. "Garden view" could maaybe pass, but it is a stretch. And there are no mountains in sight whatsoever, let alone a "landmark view". You can see mountains only once you leave the hotel. This alone took couple of points from the rating, just because it is super dishonest on their part. Staff also didn't do anything about it and didn't offer any room exchange or compensation for misleading a customer. They were very friendly otherwise, so they probably couldn't do anything about it, but the description of the room as it stands is dishonest and I can not give higher rating because of that. Where it comes to breakfast tables are unfortunately preassigned, so we couldn't sit in a preferred place. We had to sit right next to other guests, despite the fact that almost whole room was empty, with much more pleasant tables available (closer to the window and with sunlight for example). One morning the breakfast was for some reason served not as a buffet - we had to sit at a table, order with a waiter, and then wait. Room although quite well equipped was missing a fridge. It is true that the description does not include it, but we honestly assumed that a 4 star hotel will include one every time. When booking we selected one large double bed and also got the confirmation that we will get it. But in reality the bed was still two single beds joined together.s
