Water sports, cycling and walking are all popular activities and whichever you choose you’ll be amazed by the spectacular scenery which Wordsworth called ‘the happiest combination of beauty and grandeur’. South of the lake you can drive over the scenic Kirkstone Pass which takes you down into the popular village of Ambleside and on to Windermere. The traditional market town of Penrith with a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants is 6 miles. Shops and pubs 30 yards.

Huge house with 5 large bedrooms each with on-suite. Large dining room with a table easily seating 12 adults. Comfortable lounge, plenty of seats and a kitchen with an island. Ample parking and lovely rear garden. We found the house very clean and our host’s very helpful. The village has 4 great pubs serving breakfast, lunches and dinner. Perfect location to explore the Lakes.
