Discover the beauty of the Mimbres Valley from this 3-bedroom house. The bedrooms feature 5 beds from queen size to twin, enough for up to 8 people to sleep comfortably. Enjoy the relaxing, comfortable atmosphere and modern amenities like WiFi, AC, and radiant floor heating. Roman shades help control the temperature of this well-insulated home. With 2 bathrooms, one with a shower, guests will feel right at home. There is a laundry room on the premises. A huge fenced-in yard surrounds the property with xeriscape plants, some of which will attract hummingbirds and butterflies. A little outdoor nook provides a peaceful area for reflection. There are many scenic drives nearby, some going into the Gila National Forest and multiple hiking trails catering to different skill levels. Lake Roberts and Bear Canyon Lake offer decent fishing and scenic picnic areas. The valley is a great place to learn about the Mimbres Culture with ancient ruins such as the Mattocks pueblo at the Mimbres Culture Heritage Site. The Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the ancient Mogollon Pueblo culture. This place was awsome only thing we would say is that the property needs a tv for down time but over all great spot to have a weekend getaway.

Having grown up in New Mexico it was great to take a trip back and walk into this charming VRBO with authentic New Mexico decor. The living area is huge and inviting to do family stuff. And the AC is cold. The kitchen is roomy and has all the dishes and pots and pans you could need. The two main bedrooms have doors to the outside with screened metal so we could let the cool night air in and the bugs out and hear the New Mexico outdoors. The bunk bed setup off the kitchen worked great for the younger kids. We had one little issue and the host got on it and got it corrected as fast as possible. There is ample parking for the 20’ trailer we towed with us. It is centralized between many of the attractions, City of Rocks, lake Roberts, the Gila Cliff Dwellings and Silver City, while being far enough away from any hustle and bustle. We had a great stay!!!
