They are trying, but not there yet. The room sizes are nice (ask for Room 1 if available). Staff, particularly the manager Mr. Bandara, are wonderful and try a lot to help. It is in a quiet area, away from the town. Views are nice, one can see the town and the valley. Good open air communal seating area, and small pool.

Walking into town isn't easy due to narrow roads that aren't in great shape, and steep inclines; best get a tuktuk (not a problem if you are self-driving). Second, the place is still being built and the facilities are not there yet. There was no breakfast although the description said there was - apparently the cook had left. They did finally get me a gas stove so I was able to cook it myself, which is nice of them. Apart from the room and the small pool there isn't really much there. No airconditioning - not really needed except on a few very hot days. Net screens on windows to keep the bugs out would be nice. The place is run by Sunil the caretaker and his wife, who are very nice and lovely people, but not professional hotel staff. The manager is new, and is a great, wonderful, helpful person - hopefully he stays and builds up this resort to its potential. I stayed for 2 weeks, and had a nice time. It was worth the price I paid, but be aware of what is and isn't there.
