Central Location - steps away from bars, restaurants and supermarket. Comfortable big sofa inside. Town is small, roads around slow and windy - you’ll need to drive quite a bit to find things to do and see. There is no view from the property- but up on the mount you can see the snow capped mountains of Corsica - that is pretty cool. We stayed tooo long in once place - Castelsardo is a half-one day visit only. Stay a night or two only… and drive and stay in other places. Deposit return was efficient.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. Number one mission critical factor on a family holiday with young people. Wi-Fi provided very very very slow - even 4G network using data was better…. Agent confused about which network and passwords work. “Art” work on walls low value and not creating any sense of the island. Hard floorings and white walls ok - but as per this marketing photo - the place does not feel homely. And yet just a few touches it could. Had to turn on the fridge and understand that the washing machine had a sensitive door that needed slamming ( not mentioned in house guide book ). Candy dish washer worked fine. Kitchen basic. No outside cooking enabled - usual in such locales. Quite a bit of this might be addressed with a comprehensive multi-language welcome book. The “welcome pack” was just cleaning liquids - no attempt at even token greetings from Sardegna… bottle of local wine.. local fruit ?? That wow welcome that indicates great hospitality. Missing. Instructions for recycling very complex - no bags provided !! Yet - mostly these were required. Locals hang bags on the fences - makes it harder for cats and rats to tear open rubbish. We reported that our shower waste was not draining - the agent said they would fix it - it was not fixed - and we had to have very very short showers all holidays. Not comfortable at all… and really quite a basic hygiene factor. Outside furniture was old. Only two sun beds - and one was broken. Chairs very wobbly. The neighbours ( locals ) over look the hard slabbed yard. Not private… Street parking needs to be explained more clearly ( eg white boxes with a slash = NO PaRKInG - we were there in shoulder season - imagine it might be very difficult in busy peak. Could not operate tv - no streaming function - TV ancient. Many counterfeit looking DVDs knocking around. Just set up Netflix ?? Surely.. Power sockets mostly Italian 3 pins - rather than EU standard. Be great to see more universal sockets installed.
