La Casa Rosa

Das Haus ist sehr schön, direkt in der Altstadt mit Blick auf das Meer, die umliegenden Häuser und den Glockenturm Campanile del Duomo, gelegen. Der Haushalt ist vollständig ausgestattet, mit allem was wir für die Ferien als Familie benötigten. Das Haus hat einen ursprünglichen Charme und ist saniert u.a. mit zwei Duschbädern, von denen eines nagelneu ist (siehe Fotos). Es hat zwei Schlafzimmer, ein Kinderzimmer, ein kleines Durchgangswohnzimmer und eine Wohnküche auf verschiedenen Ebenen, wie ein Townhouse. Nazareno ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber. Wir wurden von ihm mit allen nötigen Infos schnell und unkompliziert versorgt. Das Haus und die Umgebung waren in den letzten zwei Oktoberwochen sehr ruhig. Richtige Stille. Wenig Touristen, kein Mövenlärm, weing geöffnete Cafés oder Restaurants. Wenn man das möchte, geht man ein paar Minuten zu Fuß in den anderen Teil Castelsardos außerhalb der Burgmauern. Einzig der Glockenturm tut pünklich und regelmäßig seine Arbeit. Das W-Lan im Haus war stabil und schnell. Der Router und die Anschlüsse scheinen neu zu sein. Einen Parkplatz haben wir immer problemlos auf der Via Manganella 3 min vom Haus entfernt bekommen. Die hier manchmal beschriebenen Treppen zum Haus fanden wir mit Gepäck für uns nicht so schwer zu überwinden, wie wir anfangs gedacht haben. Um den Müll zu trennen, gibt es jew. einen Müllbehälter, der nach einem Wochenplan (für uns auf deutsch :-) und leicht verständlich beschrieben) jeweils täglich für eine Sorte Müll vor die Tür gestellt werden kann. Dieser wird von der Müllabfuhr in den Morgenstunden entleert. Das ist ein tolles ausgeklügeltes System, was auf der Insel und gerade in dieser Altstadt unerlässlich ist. Wer es nicht schafft diesem Plan zu folgen oder am letzten Urlaubstag noch Restmüll hat, kann diesen an der Recyclingstation vor dem Friedhof in Castelsardo abgeben. Kein Thema! Alles in allem für uns unproblematisch und top. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

La casa ha un ampio terrazzo con una vista mare strepitosa dove è possibile mangiare e passare del tempo in relax. Le camere sono spaziose. Andrea è una guida gentile e disponibile che ci ha dato vari consigli molto utili che hanno fatto di questo viaggio una vacanza speciale.

Per arrivare alla casa era necessario salire un po' di scalini. Non è stato un problema, ma è comunque un'informazione di cui tenere conto in fase di prenotazione per persone con difficoltà motorie.

There was no mention of how difficult it was to access the house by car in the information provided. There needed to be full written instructions for finding the place to park and how then to walk to the property. The difficulty of access ( 69 steep steps and long slopes of rough paving) up which all luggage had to be carried should have been made clear. It is not a suitable property for anyone not fully fit. The house itself was spacious and the roof terrace amazing but there were a number of maintenance problems. The kitchen sink did not drain properly, in the upstairs bathroom the shower had fallen off the wall, the bidet leaked water all over the floor and the window would not open making it impossible to ventilate without leaving the door wide open into the sitting room. The agent/cleaner was less than helpful. We arrived to find a dirty sink and washing left in the washing machine. He expected us to drive all our rubbish to a waste centre on the last day and offered no help transporting that or our luggage to the car or even down the many stairs in the house. He simply banged the door in our faces after receiving our tourist tax payment, leaving us standing outside surrounded by luggage and rubbish bags. Part of the rental included a cleaning fee of over 100 euros. For that I would expect a spotless well maintained property and I would expect the cleaning staff to deal with the rubbish, which we had carefully sorted into the bins provided, as requested on arrival. The departure from the property left us feeling angry and upset. It is a shame because the house should be lovely. With some proper maintenance and cleaning and a more friendly agent it would be so much better. However, people should be warned about the difficult access and encourage to bring minimum luggage.
