Wonderful place, very calm, lots of space, trees all around, and so much bird song. We stayed here for nine really great days.
Kitchen was a real plus as we did get tired of eating out sometimes and could cook some meals, take breaks to watch TV, etc. It was home!! Comfortable beds and sofas, lots of light, a nice patio for sunny days.
The gîte was near the town of Sarlat, and it was easy to drive to all of the other wonderful sights nearby in the fabulous Dordogne.
Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed talking with their small daughter too, an extraordinarily verbal seven-year-old, fluent in French and in English.
Highly recommended!
The gîte is up a significant hill, and although it is only a 15-minute walk down to the village of Sarlat, we are a bit older and did not want to consider walking back up. So we always drove even when only going down to Sarlat. Walking this route would not be an issue for younger people.
