Within easy reach from the cottage are numerous attractions and traditional towns to explore. The cobbled lanes of the market town of Ashbourne are inviting as are the interesting shops and fantastic selection of tea rooms and restaurants. A must to visit is the National Trust’s Dove Dale Valley, a renowned beauty spot offering excellent walking and cycling routes amongst spectacular scenery. For the thrill seekers an exhilarating day at Alton Towers is just a short drive away and not to be missed. Many of the historic houses are also within easy reach such as Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House along with Matlock, Matlock Bath and Bakewell.
