La casa di Sara - Arena

Location was fabulous. Hosts kept in touch by whatsapp and allowed us to leave luggage there on morning of arrival. Bed very comfortable.

Portable air con meant the window and shutters had to stay open for vent so wasn't very effective and very noisy.

The location was perfect. It is right by the bus stop from the railway station (the owners told us which buses we could take) and close to the Arena and within easy walking distance of all the sights in the centre of Verona. There is a good cafe opposite, perfect for breakfast (or lunch). The apartment is spacious and appears to to have been refurbished recently. There were plenty of electric sockets. There were hooks, coathangers and a chest of drawers for clothes. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The wifi signal was strong and reliable. The kitchen area is equipped with a fridge, hob and microwave and plenty of utensils. We could have made meals here ourselves. There are some supermarkets in the centre of Verona but they are harder to find than medieval churches and Renaissance palaces! We contacted the owners before our visit and they told us how to get there and brought the check-in time forward.

We stayed for five nights and our bedding and towels were not changed in this period. The weather was very hot and it would have been better if they could have been changed at least once. The air conditioning did not work. The owners knew this and were going to get it repaired just after our stay. The electric fan was a life-saver. We kept the shutters closed most of the time as the flat gets the sun most of the day. The shower is quite small and would been difficult for a large person. Water pressure was not very strong, but adequate.

Great location close to everything. Bus stop 20 mts away. Friendly accomodating host. Easy checkin New kitchen clean. Coffee machine and pods.

Shower dated but ok.
