Kakianau Retreat, Luxury Waterfront Apartments

This was a luxurious apartment with some very nice features. The bed and bedding both very comfortable. It was clean and had lovely views. Handy for lots of activities and very quiet and peaceful at least when I didn't have downstairs neighbours.

I loved the fires however the one in the lounge only really heats you if you're in front of it so the open plan kitchen and dining areas were chilly (it was cold outside during my visit) plus no blinds/curtains on kitchen window and back door to balcony made it seem colder. A heat pump would have been more effective. I would have liked a couple of hand towels. I ended up using washcloths as I don't like to use my bath towel every time I wash my hands. Modern technology is great but I could have done with some easy to follow guides re using the remotes for blinds, TV and fires. Involved a bit of trial and error lol. Not sure I understood the point of the toilet. I thought a bidet toilet would wash me. Seems not :)

The apartment is very luxurious, modern and extremely well equiped. There are two rooms and one bathroom. Linen and towels are good quality. Each room also has a TV and heater. The bathroom is amazing. The kitchen has crockery, cutlery, a toaster, air fryer, kettle and a crock pot. The dining room and lounge is spacious and comfortable. There is not an air conditioner. The view is beautiful and there is parking right by the apartment.

The host did not know of our booking and did not expect us. We arrived at 16:00 and had to wait for the host to get everything ready. She was very kind and helpful and soon sorted everything out.

一楼没有厨房，但有微波炉

Would have loved to stay longer. Perfect views and location. Nice and warm.

Toilet a bit high tech to work out and made noise even when someone wasn’t in there. A washing machine to use would make it a perfect stop.
