City Centre Embankment Apartments Superb Location

Location is very good, 7 min walk to the station and opposite River Taff. Easy access. The beds are really comfortable. Its handy having a bit of outside space and a bench to sit on in the garden. When we had a few issues, the maintenance man was quick and polite.

The flat was advertised as a superior appartment. The flat felt clean and designed nicely, but less attention to detail with previous persons dark spot face cream on bathroom shelf and socks in garden. Dried mucus on the double bed upholstered frame. The shower gel and hand soap are wall mounted and hadn't been topped up at all. Both empty. There is no washing up bowl in the kitchen and no plug either, which makes it difficult to keep it clean for them. This was mentioned to them on my last stay in September 25. The coffee machine didnt work, it didnt work in September either and was reported then. Another reviewer also said it was faulty in April and had reported it but nothing happened. Jay sent a nice maintenance person (Sean) out really quickly, but was quite offhand about it, said no one else had a problem, and didnt apologise at all at any point. The toaster was also found to be faulty and the guy replaced both, which i was grateful for, as we used them over our 5 day stay. There is only one hand towel provided per stay, so one between 4 people in theory. Even Travelodge give you a bath towel and a hand towel each. I again mentioned this nicely last time. Considering its a luxury appartment, I think one hand towel each isnt much to ask. If you are a cook, there isnt much cooking equipment, 1 small frying pan and one small saucepan. There is a microwave, but no microwave jugs, bowls etc. Upstairs were noisy at 1.30 and 4am most mornings even with earplugs in. Not their fault, i think the double bed bedroom is right under their bathroom, as the noise was just showers and toilet flushing and walking round, but it was loud. Curtains in lounge would be good for privacy. I gave 10 stars last time, so am generally happy with the apartment and location. I would stay again (if not banned after this!) A bit more politeness and attention to detail would go a long way. Just my opinion.

The flat was clean and tidy with a light and airy feel - the connected kitchen-diner-lounge space worked well. The bathroom was good with a decent shower. The location was ideal for walking into the town centre and we felt comfortable coming back in the evening. The owner was friendly and professional and dealt with any queries speedily.

The property is on ground floor level and is in a good location if you have no mobility issues. But there are plenty of taxi services.

The cleanliness was not as good as it should be. Some marks on sofa, cushions and bed. Scuff marks on carpets. No blackout blinds. This would of helped during hot weather.
