Cottage was cute
Only one toilet roll for two people over two nights, no cleaning equipment, no batteries in the heating remote, no logs or fire lighters, not actually in Hebden Bridge

Location was perfect for a night away exploring Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall. The Asda just down the road was a bonus.
We loved the traditional touches of the modern renovation, with a beautiful kitchen including a dishwasher and bathroom with exposed stone and beams as a feature.
The location on the river was delightful.
The 2 bedrooms were warm and comfortable with quality linens and decor.
Perfect space for 3 of us to spend a night.

Nothing I didn't like. Take logs for the fire. I forgot ours but that can easily be sorted with a quick trip to the petrol station.

Cosy cottage in good location
Cleaning not done therefore wet towels on bed, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchen, dishwasher full of unwashed dishes, overflowing bins. Due to late hour had no option but to stay annd had to spend time cleaning the property ourselves and trying to locate clean bedding annd towels Owner did not respond to multiple communication attempts at the time. Attempts to resolve after the stay difficult as owner said up to booking.com to sort out. What should’ve been a nice break with friends became quite stressful. Would not deal with property owner again

The property was great however being kept awake on the first night by rodents running around in the loft space and terrifying my 6yr old was an absolute joke.
We were kept awake all night by rodents running around and scratching all night, absolutely scaring my little girl to distraction. We had to leave the next morning as my little girl didn’t want to be there and the thought of another night of zero sleep was not happening. Totally ruined our Christmas getaway and the owners didn’t want to know or help at all.

The cottage itself is Lovely and is just the perfect 20 mins or so walk along the canal into the centre of Hebden Bridge
It could be a great place to stay as it was full of charm and character but there were issues that should be rectified for future guests! Although having read reviews from previous guests where they have mentioned some of the same issues that we had i.e complete lack of instruction for anything at all! We even struggled with the TV as there were 2 remotes and we couldn't get either to do anything we wanted them to do! there was no guide-book with even something as simple as the Wi-Fi password! or what local pubs/restaurants were recommended
God knows how the Microwave worked we never truly mastered it. The washing machine wasn't connected and was down in the Cellar anyway with no lighting
And after arriving after a long drive the last thing we needed was problems with electrics! after messaging the host we got a quick text back telling us where the fuse box was (in the cellar) which then meant numerous trips up and down the stairs in the dark flipping the trip-switch back on just so we could boil the kettle! and the only response i got back was 'Oh Dear, Thanks for letting me know, I hope it isn't too much of an inconvenience' .. Well yes it was! it was Christmas, there was nothing open, we couldn't use the dishwasher, washing machine, the kettle tripped every time we wanted to use it, there were no logs for the log-burner, no dish-washing scrubbers as we now had to wash everything by hand (literally) no instructions for ANYTHING we just had to wing it, Hardly any cutlery, we had to re-wash most stuff that had been put back in the cupboards as it had dried on food.
All in All it left a bit of a sour-taste over what should have been a relaxing Christmas break! Just something as simple as leaving a welcome guide with tips and instructions would have made things so much easier but there was nothing!
We travelled over 300 miles from the South of England via Heathrow to Hebden Bridge on Christmas Eve. Two days before arrival I messaged the host via Booking.com asking how to access the property, as no details had been sent. I received no reply & had to chase again the day before arrival to get the lock code. This added unnecessary stress, especially over Christmas & would have been better had the host contacted me with necessary details
We arrived late on Christmas Eve with all shops closed and struggled to find parking, as no guidance was provided and the property is on a busy road. Once inside, nothing powered by plug sockets downstairs worked. After unloading the car and spending time investigating, we had to contact the host who directed us to the fuse box in the cellar, dark, no lights & we had to keep trooping up & down as the fuse just kept tripping every time we tried to use kitchen appliances.
We eventually discovered the dishwasher was mid-cycle from a previous stay, full of stagnant water and mildew, which absolutely stank and appeared to be causing the issue. After unplugging it, the problem stopped, but this meant washing everything by hand — with no washing-up scrubbers or dish-cloths provided. Quite a few of the plates & mugs had been put away dirty, the toaster tray was full of old crumbs, and there was a half-empty bottle of water left in the bathroom.
There was no welcome book or instructions for appliances or heating, very limited cutlery which meant we had to keep washing as we went, no logs for the log burner which meant we couldn't use it, and the oven was difficult to use without guidance (we eventually found the manual in a drawer). The washing machine was in the cellar but didn’t appear connected so we didn't use it.

It was beautiful with a great view of the river
Parking was a pain however there is a bus stop just along from the property so next time I would take the train …

Beautifully clean and comfortable property with all you would need for your stay. It is a luxury stay..
The property is on the main road so there is road noise. There was only half a toilet roll provided for our 2 night stay.

Such a lovely cottage, great location for walking into Hebden Bridge along the canal. Secure, well equipped cottage with some lovely original features and cosy vibes. The host was informative and accommodating, beautiful views of the river
The main road location wouldn't be for everyone, it wasn't a problem for us but you can hear the traffic in a morning.

Great Communication from host.
Beautiful home, the kitchen especially. Has everything you need. We were staying for a trip to meet people in Hebden Bridge, so the location was absolutely perfect. There is a bus stop directly outside of the house and it was a 2 minute journey to the town centre.
It is located on a busy road, not a problem for me, but if you are a light sleeper it might not be for you.

Overall the decor was wonderful, making this a really comfortable weekend break. The location was great, within walking distance of Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd. A charming cottage perfectly situated to enjoy the surrounding villages.
There is a lot of road noise, so you can't sleep with the windows open, which is uncomfortable in the hot weather. The bathroom shower was problematic as the water continually spilt out all over the floor, meaning constant mopping up after a shower. Despite having a great kitchen, it lacked some basic equipment such as tea towels, oven gloves, and serving bowls/plates.

The cottage had bags of character which we loved. It was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely time on the whole!
The location was much noisier than expected with constant traffic sounds from a busy road. There was no outside space which we did not realize. But location was also great for getting about by bus and car.
The house needed 2 things: 1. An information folder to advise guests on local info such as buses/ supermarkets/local info etc. and how to work appliances TV etc.
2. The cottage would benefit from another mirror somewhere other than the bathroom. If there are 4 people staying and they are all trying to get ready at the same time: a bedroom mirror in bedroom 2 or in shared area near bedroom 1, would be useful. Thx
