City Centre Retreat & FREE PARKING

Great location, with the added bonus of onsite parking. It had a well stocked kitchen with everything you could need and was very clean and fresh throughout. We are friends, not a couple, so it was good to have two separate rooms for our privacy and would also work well for a family for a short stay. My friend’s son is at Uni in York and she liked it enough to consider returning with family for his graduation, but agreed with me about the things that require improvement.

The sofas looked en trend, but were very hard, shallow and uncomfortable to sit on. The double bed was comfortable, but the single room bed could do with an upgrade for adult comfort. All the pillows need replacing, with a separate pillow case for each, to allow you to select one or two for sleep comfort. I understand that I am fussy, but so will others be and I would only return if these upgrades were in place. The overhead shower came on with the hand held and cold water was dripping from it, which was unpleasant if you were standing under it. The side panel of the bath needs replacing.

Walking distance to the city centre, close to shops, activity’s. The property itself had everything we needed to feel like a home away from home. Parking was easy and secure.

The main bed was abit soft for my liking but other than that everything was great.

It felt like home, place was tidy and neat with all the necessities available. It was quite as we liked yet near to city center and all the hustles. Bus stop is just a minute walk away. The host Ross was always there if needed and she was very helpful and welcoming.
