Luce Apartment - Stylish Terrace in the Heart of Lucca

The arrival process was quite byzantine, but thanks to detailed instructions plus a video we managed it without too much trouble. The apartment is in a quiet street but everywhere in Lucca is nearby, so that was excellent. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. All in all I felt it was great value for money.

Let me start by saying we were very happy with our stay, but a couple of points deserve mention. Firstly the apartment adjoins another and on one occasion we were awoken by two people shouting quite late in the evening. Also the sofa is OK to sleep on - I know I did it - but less to sit on. Another issue I should mention is the current shambles at Pisa Airport over the EES system. We arrived at the apartment after a 2,5 hour wait at immigration while over a thousand people were milling about waiting to use one of three EES machines. If we were in Lucca again, we would certainly stay here, but we would not want to use an Italian airport while they are such a shambles. Businesses depending on tourism need to pressure the authorities to get their house in order. -

El lugar es hermoso, muy cómodo, limpio y con excelente ubicación. Nos pasamos unos días maravillosos. Volvería sin dudarlo!

Excellent apartment, can't fault our stay for 4 nights over winter. Warm and cosy, great location just inside the walled city, free parking is available about 15min walk away, or paid parking almost at the front door. Many thoughtful touches included for cooking (baking paper especially!). Super-comfortable beds. Quality fitout and furnishings, not the usual IKEA items. Would highly recommend!

A lift would've been nice, but hey, if that's important to you - don't stay inside the historic city!

Emplacement parfait Propreté irrreprochable

Isolation phonique catastrophique ; nous entendons les résidents de l’étage comme si ils étaient avec nous dans la pièce (notamment ceux de l’appartement loué par le même bailleur en mitoyenneté). Réveillé au rythme des voisins, soit 5h du matin … , Odeur de remontée d’égouts dans la salle de bain, Et système de stationnement pénible ; nous avons suivi les recommandations du bailleur en nous stationnant sur les places « bleues » en payant via l’application easy Park (plus de 20€ les 24h), et nous avons malgré tout été verbalisé de 65€ au petit matin, Pv impossible à contester. L’hôte ne manquera pas de vous rappeler de quitter les lieux avant 10h mais ne réagira pas à nos remarques. Et enfin, il n’y a pas de micro-ondes (difficile à imaginer de nos jours), donc à prendre en considération, notamment avec des enfants en bas âge.
