OK. Clean and comfortable
The location was good for our purposes, being a 20 minute walk into town
THERE WAS NO NUMBER ON THE HOUSE. THERE WAS NO NAME PLATE FOR THE ROAD. WE WERE WANDERING ROUND AN ESTATE ON A DARK COLD NIGHT TRYING TO FIND IT. the coffee/tea sachets were appreciated, but we expected to find some kind of cafetiere or other coffee maker to make fresh coffee. you desperately need to provide some kind of welcome pack. we couldn't get into the wifi. we couldn't get into the TV apps; several other people seemed to be logged in. you need to provide curtains on ALL the downstairs windows the property was nice enough for our purposes, though I'd say about £15 over-priced

Lovely little house with great views upstairs.
There was a fabulous view of the Shropshire Hills from the bedroom. It was great having the parking space right outside the property. Good supply of toiletries and tea bags milk etc. Also I liked the 11'0 clock check out. You can walk into Ludlow - takes 15/20 minutes.
Could not find a hairdryer - not sure whether there was supposed to be one? Not a real problem as it's summer right now. I was worried about eating sitting on the couch in case of marking the cover.....maybe a small folding table and two chairs (like a little Bistro set?) could be provided? They would fit under the tv or you could set them up outside. I hope that's a helpful suggestion.

1 bedroomed house in Hucklemarsh House.
Access to the house was easy as I was sent the key code for the lock box beforehand. The house, a 1 bedroomed one, was on an old Council estate with a car space at the front. The house was newly decorated, it was clean and there were some lovely framed photos on the wall. The bed was comfy and towels were provided. The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to cook my meals. There was lots of hot water.
Whilst the house was newly decorated, it felt as though it was an unfinished project. It would have been lovely to have had a welcome letter and some information at the property, but there was none. There was no information on the wifi code and I had to eventually unravel the wiring so that I could access the code on the bottom of the router. There was only 1 socket in the living room and there was a standard lamp plugged in. I had to move the lamp to the kitchen where there were more sockets so that I could use my laptop in the living room. The kitchen was well equiped but some kitchen roll would have been appreciated. There was 1 small tea towel provided. There was a canister with sugar in it, but someone had used a damp spoon so there were lumps of stained sugar at the bottom. The tea bags provided were fine but thankfully I had taken my cafeterie and coffee with me and decided not to use the instant coffee left in the bottom of another canister. There was a comfy settee and low coffee table in the living room but no other chairs in the house or a table. I had to use a chopping board as a tray to put my plate on to eat my meal. The bedroom was large with a comfy bed and some hanging space but nothing else. A chair, at least, would have been appreciated to put my clothes on, but I had to put the rest on the floor. There was nowhere in the bathroom to hang the towels so I had to hang them over the door. There was nowhere to put the loo roll so I had to put it on the radiator at the back of the door. Maybe I was the wrong profile that the owners were targetting as their clients, but it felt as though the visitor's needs were unimportant. The worst bit was the myriad of plastic potted plants in the house. They are fine when you are dressing a house to photograph, but are a pain to have around afterwards!

On the whole, it was OK but there were things that could have been better.
It was pleasant, warm and clean in the important places. It had an off street parking place. It was reasonably priced.
The location could have been more central for convenience as it was impossible to get a taxi on both occasions we needed one. There were cobwebs in a number of the corners and a few spiders which I had to vacuum away. There was no kitchen roll provided. The TV was almost impossible to work effectively. There was no information pack in the property. the sofa could have been a sofa bed as it is only a 1 bedroom property, which is quite restricting in who it can accommodate appropriately. The spiral staircase looks great but it wasn't the easiest to negotiate if you're getting on a bit! It was difficult to find because of the way the street is configured and the sat nav did not get us to the door.
