Serenity House

Loved the view and the size of the property. Stunning sun rises and sun sets. The quintessetional lake como stay and house. Would recommend.

The location wasn't too far from the main town of Mennagio (approx 20 minutes) although the main part of the walk up the hill is through a forest that was quite dark at night

We really enjoyed the house and felt like home. We loved the design and the view, enjoyed cooking there. Thanks for having us!

First the positive things: The place is very clean and it seems like it only recently has been renovated. The view is a 10/10. Simply gorgeous. Kitchen, living room, bedrooms, equipment: Everything is great and what you expect.

Now the negative and unfortunately the negative overshadowed the positive for our stay. You don't see it on the photos, but the neighbour's house is right next to this house. His terrace is right behind the house's terrace and the neighbour seems to love working outside while you're sitting on the terrace trying to enjoy the view. Vacuuming his car on a Sunday. Hitting a stick on the ground randomly while you're sitting outside. Mowing the lawn when you come outside. Also, he has 2 big dogs and one of them LOVES barking. Throughout the day, the dog is outside and barks. We brought our own dog, so I guess we can't complain too much about it, however his dog didn't stop which was super frustrating. Unfortunately the idea of having SERENITY on the terrace, doing yoga, as it is portrayed in the photos; was not possible during our stay.
