Truemans Escape - All-Season Stay near Hot Springs

Clean spa and good communication with the host prior to arrival. Great value for money with a spacious house and lots of space.

Barbeque could have been left a little bit cleaner and there was only one match to light the stove since the gas didn’t quite work.

Location and house was great. Quiet street, modern facilities, close to the beach.

We really enjoyed our time at "Truemans Escape" but found the cleaning was not up to standard for the price paid. Gave us an "icky" feeling when we first arrived to find that there were signs of previous visitors EVERYWHERE, due to home not being thoroughly cleaned. Some examples of this are dirty fridge, dirty dishes in dishwasher, fingerprints all over dirty windows, food crumbs and dust on floors, many items under beds and couches such as shoes, food scraps, water bottles, toys, hair ties, clothing tags, EEEWWW!!!! Pictures showed a lockup carport but when you arrive its locked up, not for use. Flashing motion sensors in bedrooms makes it hard to get a good night's sleep, every time you move or roll over in bed, a red laser light strobes through the room, very disruptive, didn't sleep well the entire trip because of this. Cameras everywhere makes it feel like you're being watched all the time. Host send excessive number of emails throughout the stay, but don't respond to feedback on issues I had with the property. Hosts were cheeky enough to ask for a 5-star review, but unfortunately with the lack of cleaning it doesn't even come close.
