Recently remodeled single story modern ranch with hickory floors and natural light. Three blocks to Tamarack Beach, take the boardwalk or lighted rail trail for a short walk/bike to the numerous offerings of Carlsbad Village. Large open kitchen with four seat breakfast bar and ample counter space. Massive farm table seats 10 for holiday dinners or family breakfast. Master bedroom has a king bed, attached bathroom and large closet with built-in storage to hide suitcases and feel at home. Two additional bedrooms provide king and queen beds with a shared hallway bath. Main living space has a streaming 4k TV and wireless sound-bar. Separate den features a fireplace, comfortable sectional and 55" streaming television. Fenced back-yard has covered patio, grill and heated outdoor surf shower to take care of the beach sand. Shed holds beach wagon, beach toys, boogie boards, chairs and umbrella. Outdoor games include Bocce, ladderball and cornhole sets. Easy freeway access, 1 hour to Disney, minutes to LEGOLAND. This was our third stay in this rental and the location is perfect for our family. The floor plan works great for us, as the baby can sleep in the pack n play in the family room. We had a little snafu with the entry lock keypad at first but Patrick was super responsive & quick to come help us out. Thank you, Patrick!

We had a wonderfully stay in Carlsbad at this beautiful home! I was worried about the train and traffic noise but it didn’t bother us at all. We loved walking to the beach and into Carlsbad Village every day. Perfect location, beautiful and clean home, great host.

This is our 4th time renting this home and as always it was a fantastic stay. The open floor plan and the beautiful outdoor space make it perfect for our family. We truly enjoy lounging in the backyard and taking leisurely strolls down to Carlsbad village. The easy walk to the beach is also a big plus! It’s wonderful to have access to beach essentials, like sand toys, towels, chairs, and the wagon. It makes our beach days so much easier and more enjoyable. The home is always clean and communicate with the host is excellent. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The property was just as listed and the kitchen felt like cooking at home. We were fortunate enough to pick a few ripe tomatoes (host permitted) and they were amazing. All the beach supplies and wagon were handy for the quick walk down to the ocean. We hope to return soon.

This was our second time staying here and it was just as great as the first stay a year ago. The house is walking distance to Carlsbad Village and the beach, and the backyard was great for our two kids to play in. The kitchen is well-stocked and the large dining table is perfect for families. Would love to stay a third time!

This is our second year staying at Patrick’s great vacation rental. It was the only rental we considered after our delightful stay last summer. The location is great: walking distance to the beach, Vons and Starbucks, and the Village. It is roomy, very clean, and wonderfully out-fitted. We had three generations of family plus day visitors who joined us at the beach and then for dinner. Plenty of room, especially with the new patio table and chairs. Bedrooms are roomy and comfortable and our two teenage granddaughters enjoyed sharing the roomy den. The outdoor shower was put to good use, as was the generous hanging area for beach towels. Patrick was responsive and helpful when we had questions about watching the Olympics on the nights we were there. We hope to return next summer!

Lovely home 3 blocks from the beach. Generous sized 3 bedrooms, open kitchen with lots of supplies for cooking at home, tons of beach gear (wagon toys boogie boards, towels). Great AC for hot summer. Some street noise from Tamarack which is a busy street and nearby train crossing but didn’t bother us. Peking in front of house no garage. Grocery store smart and final is very close, 20 min walk to Carlsbad village. Perfect for a family vacation.

We stayed here 5 years ago on an anniversary trip. Fell in love with the house and location. Brought our kids back with us this year and it was just as perfect as we remembered. We really enjoyed our stay here! The layout of the house was perfect with the separate living area, we had three teens with us. The house was nicely stocked, including beach gear if needed. Our family of 4 stayed here over Christmas to be able to spend time with our daughter who is stationed in the area. We loved the home layout and location. We had planned on buying a small Christmas tree while there and didn't have to because the owner messaged that there was a tree and some decorations in a closet...yay! The tree was pre-lit and easy to assemble. It helped make our Christmas away so much better. We did a whole lot of cooking during our time there. The kitchen is great! We did a lot of shopping for Christmas. The house is conveniently located close to shopping! Would stay here again for sure.

This property was exactly like the photos present it. Patrick was extremely responsive in every way, especially when we accidentally got locked out. The location is convenient to the beach and the rail walk and there’s a grocery store just on the other side of the freeway. The kitchen was the best equipped of all homes that we’ve rented and we’ve been renting vacation homes for two decades. The house easily accommodated four adults and two kids under 3. My husband and I absolutely loved staying at this property. We have 2 children recently both engaged living in area and were able to enjoy time together to plan both weddings. I love the open concept and large farm table to gather at. Our surfing son loved being close to the water. My wife and I liked walking to the Village. Our 3-year-old granddaughter visited us and spent the whole time in the backyard. She especially loved picking herbs/vegetables and splashing in the wading pool. The house is well-designed and very nice, but not a lot of fancy stuff for little ones to break.

This was a great place to stay for a week in Carlsbad. It’s a short walk to the beach, close to a great walking path that takes you into Carlsbad village, and the neighborhood is quiet (minus the occasional Amtrak train a few houses down). The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and dining supplies, and the kitchen table is the perfect size for meals and board games. We also loved the TV room that could be closed off from the rest of the house when our young children were napping. Overall a great house and we’d definitely return!

We enjoyed this Carlsbad house last summer, and came back for a longer visit this year. It was another wonderful stay. Excellent location, well laid-out and appointed house, and professional yet friendly owner. An additional bonus this year was the backyard garden ready for harvest! The owner graciously allowed us to pick the vine ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers to add to our meals cooked in the lovely kitchen, enjoyed at the comfortable farm table by our 3-generation group. We will need to keep coming until the grandson finally faces his fears and rides the provided boogie board out in the surf :-)

We loved our stay in Carlsbad! The home was very roomy and clean and very well furnished and supplied. The kitchen was beautiful and the best equipped kitchen I have ever experienced in a vacation rental with plenty of dishes, pots and pans, knives and cutting boards, a Keurig AND a pot coffee maker, blender, mixer, can opener, cork screw, ice cream scoop, cookie sheets, even a Crock Pot. Everything you might need! Also, plenty of kitchen towels, bath towels and beach towels, and a washer and dryer. Boogie boards and sand toys were in a deck box near the outdoor shower, which had an extra long towel bar for hanging up wet towels. This was our seventh stay in Carlsbad and the best location. Just three blocks from the Tamarack parking lot and beaches. We didn’t realize when we booked that we would be so close to a railroad crossing, but decided the train added a charm to our stay. We closed the double-paned windows at night and slept fine. House has A/C. A note about the four star rating I gave regarding cleanliness: the interior of the house was spotless when we arrived but the patio had not been cleaned. I called the owner and that was taken care of the same day. I found the owner very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
