The Villa
The villa is professionally designed by the owner and often featured in some local tv-shows, high class fashion and home decor magazines.
The house is full of unusual features that have been enhanced and decorated with lots of effort to maintain a high level of comfort and tranquillity. There is a blend of colourful old and new furnishing throughout this villa surrounded by strong old stone features.
The villa entrance hall takes you to an enormous sitting/ living and dining room complete with fireplace and seating for 10 persons, There are several sections of the house that lead to the pool deck from downstairs or upstairs on the higher level.
There is also a second more casual living room that leads to the kitchen area which is modern equipped for self catering accommodation and interconnects with a central courtyard.
Accommodation in this villa in Malta sleeps a maximum of 12 persons on an extra bed or neatly laid out put up bed or mattress that can be arranged in one of the main bedrooms or other sections of the house
Within walking distance of the Zurrieq village church square, one will find most of all amenities nearby by walk. The village is relatively tranquil , laid back and very typical of an authentic Maltese village.
Having a car is a plus in Malta and gives you more freedom, but getting around by bus is also easily possible. There is a short walk to the nearest bus stop and the new bus system offers travellers several new routes to practically anywhere around the Maltese islands. For entertainment , heading towards st Julian's or Sliema is just a 15 to 20 minute drive or bus ride. There are several beaches to choose from, whether you like the rocky beaches or sandy beaches,
Malta has a selection of good beaches plus several other hidden spots to discover for swimming. Getting to a beach from this property is easy - the closest is near the blue grotto and venturing around the Maltese Islands is possible from under 1 hour.

Lino, the owner, made us feel welcome from the start and checked on us multiple times. He also organised tickets for the good Friday procession in his home town Zebbug (which was unfortunately cancelled due to the weather conditions).
We would come back.
Especially in warmer month where you can enjoy the pool and have nightcaps in the courtyard.
It has been the most exceptional house I’ve rented.

This property is absolutely huge, offering a good level of comfort and a beautiful garden. It is situated in a near the centre of a small traditional town, a short transfer from the airport with great bus links and amenities such as a range of shops, including one a few steps away that is open late. The owner Lino lives in an adjoining apartment so was close to hand for any questions but the villa was very private and is not overlooked, even outside. For us it was a shame that the sun leaves the garden early afternoon but in the height of summer this my be a blessing. This also encouraged us to get out and explore the island, we especially liked Valletta and Mdina. There were quite a few mosquitoes around because of the pool and the foliage but there are meshes on the bedroom windows to stop them getting in upstairs. Overall a great place to stay for all ages.

The Villa Buddha is a fantastic house with charm and character. Nice poolarea with well kept, clean pool. Only disadvantage is the lack of aircondition in the bedrooms (only one has aircondition). Fix that and make the sleeping area "cold" and this is a perfect house for the large family or a bunch of friends.
