The villa is excellent. A cool retro Hollywood 80's style, open plan, pleasant décor, big windows looking over valley. Very quiet location. Amazing early morning and evening views and wonderful, changing lighting. Valley is green due to the vineyards and their pleasant microclimate (compared to some other more arid areas of Portugal or Spain). Local facilities were good. It takes 20 minutes to drive to "anywhere" due to the winding mountain roads (all part of the adventure and the roads are excellent).

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful, modern property.
It was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything you could need - including a lovely pool.
All correspondence with the owner was fast and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
The most special thing, however, was the incredible views.
We would not hesitate to recommend.

This is a lovely large villa surrounded by a vineyard. As it is the owner's home, it is very well equipped (apart from pillows!) with everything you could need including a large new BBQ. It has a relaxed feel with many of the owners possessions still there. The pool is a little small for adults and big teenagers but perfect for a younger family as it is quite shallow. The only negative for us was a festival/concert on for the first 3 nights which started at 10 and didnt finish til 4am. If this is your thing, you will love it. If not, just check the dates before you book - it is an annual event at the beginning of August. The rest of the week was beautifully peaceful.

We have spent 12 wonderful days in Quinta dos lemoes. The house is beautiful and there is more than enough space for 8 people. The four bedrooms are large and looks like hotel rooms. One of them is the master bedroom, with a very spacious bathroom, a dressing room and air-conditioning. All rooms offer a tremendous view on the valley. This house is a family house, and you can feel it at any moment. Anyway, we really felt like we were at home!
We were actually the first people occupying the house for holidays. Jean-Jacques, the owner, was very available, although not physically present. Maria, who leaves in the nearby is very kind and helpful. Although she does not speak neither French nor English, the communication was not a problem.
If we really look for possible improvements, we would mention the air-conditioning only available in one bedroom. The absence of a garden for teenagers to play football can also be mentioned; but the terrace is huge, and there are so many other things to do than playing football in the Douro valley! If really needed, a very funny Portuguese table football is available!
