The Space:

Need a get away? Welcome to “Shore Beats Work”! This beautiful 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath oceanfront home has been lovingly updated in 2022. “Shore Beats Work” is sure to offer everything you need for your next sun-filled vacation. It boasts two primary suites.

When you enter the home, you will immediately be met with the views of the ocean just behind the house. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are all open to each other, providing a great space for friends and family to gather together. The spacious kitchen features stainless appliances, granite countertops, a large farmhouse sink, and beautiful views of the beach. The eat-in kitchen has dinner seating for 6. The living room area has a sofa and love seat with seating for 5. Also on the ground level is the primary bedroom with a comfy king bed, TV, daybed, and views of the ocean and beach. The primary bathroom features a walk-in shower.

Upstairs are three more bedrooms, each with ocean views and access to the 2nd floor oceanfront balcony. The 2nd bedroom has a king bed, TV, and a small desk. It also has its own bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed, TV and a small desk. The 4th bedroom is perfect for kids, with three sets of twin-over-twin bunk beds, bean bag chairs, and a TV. Bedrooms 3 and 4 share a full bathroom which has a shower/tub combination. There is also a half bath in the garage, which comes in handy if you are coming in from the beach.

The outside of the house is just as inviting! On the lower level deck, you’ll find plenty of seating facing the ocean. In the afternoon, as the sun finds its way to the west side of the house, the back deck becomes shaded. On the north east corner of the deck are two large picnic tables, offering a great place for outdoor seating and dining. Did we mention that “Shore Beats Work” is pet friendly? On the north side of the house is a fully fenced area that is perfect for letting your pooch do her business (please clean up after them). The entire deck areas can be closed with gates creating somewhat of a safe haven for children or pets.

We haven’t found many houses closer to the beach than this one. From the back deck you are literally just a few steps to the sand. We provide beach chairs and beach towels for you to use during your stay. There is also a shower for rinsing off the sand before coming back into the house.

Could not be closer to the beach! Beautiful property!
8 / 10Excellent·Mar 2026
The house was everything as advertised. Great view, very clean and the layout for us was good. They had supplied most anything you would need. Plenty of kitchen and cooking ware and toys for the grandkids. The bathrooms were also well supplied with what you need.I did like the house very much but I would not rent it again. Making the reservation was nightmare. They needed way too much personal information. The need for your added personal info was not disclosed until after you had commented to the rental. They also placed a charge on my card way before I was approved. So all in all we had a good time with family but I had a bitter taste in mouth about the need for so much personal info.

We are retired and have taken a beach vacation every summer; with our kids at first, then kids and grandkids, now with my siblings and friends. In 40 years this was one of the best. The property is steps from the beach, accurately described. The kitchen has everything, and there is lots of beach stuff in the garage. There is no second row of houses and limited public access, so the beach is sparsely populated. It faces east, so you can see the sunrise, and later the deck is shaded by the house during the hottest part of the day. St. Augustine is 15 to 20 minutes away with plenty of restaurants, the airport is 52 minutes away. Tastefully decorated, and the departure instructions consist of "Lock the doors, we'll take care of the rest". Beach was great, water was warm, no bugs, and we enjoyed the tides. The speed limit on the road outside the house is 55mph, and spotting the house at that speed can be challenging. Just slow down when google tells you that you are close. Fees are included in the VRBO listing, but taxes are not and they are substantial, so check it out.Thank you for sharing your home, we look forward to coming again!
