Set in the hills that surround Lake Trasimeno, this characterful apartment, for 5 people, is one of 8 which make up the agriturismo, Poggio Verde. Each apartment has its own private entrance and each is comfortably furnished.

The front door opens onto a spacious open-plan living area. The living room has a sofa, open fireplace and dining table. Next to this is a stylish kitchen which is equipped with a cooker hob, fridge and Nespresso coffee machine. A small oven is available on request. Wooden stairs lead up to two bedrooms.

There is a private terrace with an outside dining area and BBQ for relaxed meals al fresco.

The shared gardens have been arranged with as much care as the interiors. By the pool, guests will find sun-loungers and parasols. The garden also has a children’s play area and a table tennis table.

Bedroom 1: The sunny master bedroom has a wrought iron double bed, wardrobe and en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: This mezzanine bedroom has 2 single beds, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3: A cosy bedroom tucked under the eaves, this room has a double bed and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4: This airy bedroom is off the main living area and has an iron single bed, chest of drawers and French windows leading out to the terrace.

Bathroom 2: En suite to bedroom 3, on the first floor, this fresh bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.

Location
Poggia Verde is well located for guests to explore Umbria and southern Tuscany. Castiglione del Lago (10 minutes), with its medieval castle that dominates the lakeshore, offers wonderful views over the beautiful Lake Trasimeno. On the water, guests can enjoy many different watersports, including canoeing and swimming. Away from the lake, visitors can cycle or hike along one of the many tracks that crisscross the stunning countryside.

The capital of Umbria, Perugia is 45 minutes away. It is well worth a visit, as is the famous town of Assisi (1 hour) birthplace of St Francis and a site of pilgrimage. Over the border in Tuscany, Montepulciano (40 minutes) makes an interesting day trip. Here you can visit many different wine producers and try some of the famous red wines and buy some to enjoy at home.
