Great location and very clean. The area was very quiet and beautiful. The host was always quick to answer if we had any questions. My only complaint is the downstairs bed was hard as a rock. It was awful!

When we arrived at the cabin, we noticed a tree had fallen onto the power lines and porch. After notifying Jo, she immediately contacted the power company and owner to have the tree removed and the power lines reattached. Her response was outstanding! She even had another cabin available for us in case the electricity couldn’t be restored quickly.Everything was taken care of by the time we returned from Cades Cove, and the rest of our stay was wonderful. The cabin itself was beautiful and very enjoyable. The only downside was that the master bed was quite hard and uncomfortable for us.One of the highlights of our trip was having a momma bear and her three cubs visit the porch one evening before wandering around back — such a memorable Smoky Mountain experience

The cabin was great! We had a couple of issues though. If you don’t keep the upstairs shower liner INSIDE the tub at all times it will start leaking into the kitchen downstairs. We were told it was common in cabins. We have stayed in SEVERAL cabins with many teenagers before and NEVER had that problem. As for the queen bed in the downstairs bedroom it needs replacing. The mattress doesn’t seem to fit the bed frame and it was hard as a rock. One corner of the mattress would slip out of the frame while just laying on it. We were told there would be extra garbage bags but never found them. I messaged the owner and she said they were in the cabinet under the sink. They were not. She just said, “That’s odd.” The upstairs bedroom door is hard to close and open. It sticks badly. On the upside we got to see a mama bear and her two cubs. We had to wait til they went around the cabin and back into the woods before we could get out of our car.

The beds were not comfortable at all especially the bed downstairs. The cabin needs better lighting. The small lamps on nightstands were not enough light for reading. Water pressure in showers was great.
