We had a wonderful week at the Quinta de Santiago country house. It is such a beautiful villa and grounds and is both modern and homely. Ricardo was super helpful, showing us the local area when we arrived and allowing us to get our bearings. He was full of suggestions for great days out as well. Really close by car to Penafiel, an easy walk to the train station which is 40 minutes to Porto and easy enough to explore the wider areas. Our daughter loved the pool and the privacy throughout was much appreciated. Would recommend to all.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Quinta de Santiago. The location is good, peaceful yet not too far from shops and restaurants. The property is fantastic – large rooms with high quality furnishings and the 3 en-suite bedrooms were perfect for our group of 3 couples (beds super comfy too). The kitchen is well equipped and Ricardo, the host, was very generous leaving some provisions for us. Ricardo was responsive and helped us with many recommendations and reservations, as well as coming to our rescue when our car hire company let us down. Thank you!
