The Eight Luxury Stay

Very spacious modern apartment that looks like new. It was in the centre, which was great for our visit. It had 4 spacious double bedrooms . 3 bedrooms having en-suite with showers. The fourth bedroom did not have an en-suite. There is a separate bathroom in the opposing hallway, however it does not have a shower. Fortunately as we were 4 friends , we overcame the initial disappointment of not everyone having their own en-suite.The beds were very comfortable, with good quality bed linen. It would have been good though to have the choice of a softer pillow , as we found the pillows very hard & used towels for our pillows . The towels were very good quality - soft & absorbent. The storage space was excellent. The kitchen well equipped, although we choose to eat out. There are many nice restaurants & cafes nearby & a Pizza Hut directly beneath the apartments. The lounge area was very large & comfortable, could easily accommodate 8 people . There is a large outside terrace . We had a few teething problems operating the electric curtain system , however our host responded immediately & talked us through how to operate the remote control. There is a lift & stairs to the apartments & also garage space, although we did not use this as we had travelled to Penafiel by train. The centre was lively ( but not noisy) & pleasant to walk around. There are some nice individual shops, which makes a nice change rather than shopping malls. We really enjoyed our stay & will rebook when we visit again.

Nothing, once we got over our initial disappointment of only having 3 en-suite bathrooms & not 4.

Spacious, comfortable, well-furnished. Comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Very responsive and helpful hosts. Lovely outdoor area. Located in the heart of the town while also very private.

The parking is spacious and conveniently located, but it is a bit difficult to enter the underground garage with a large car.
