About this cottage rental
Historic Manor from the 17th century, family owned, with pool and garden. The House was recently renovated and offers four spacious bedrooms, three of which with en-suite bathroom, living room, dining room and well equipped kitchen. The property is completely private and surrounded by a large garden with a forest of pines and oaks beyond and with four hectares of vineyards producing the local “vinho verde”.
Located in a rural area and close to the historical towns of Guimarães (23km), Braga (43km) and Caldas de Vizela Thermal Spa (6km), dating back to Roman times.
Only 30 minutes by car takes you the beautiful historical town of Vila do Conde (64km) with several beaches situated between the river and the sea, and to the lively town of Póvoa do Varzim with beaches, golf courses and casino for those who like a flutter. Not far away the beautiful beaches of Esposende and Ofir.
Only 58km to Oporto town, here you can explore the twisting and narrow streets of the Ribeira, or visit numerous monuments, or why not visit one of the many port wine lodges on the bank of Douro river and further afield the interesting and beautiful town of Viana do Castelo, a must for excellent shops and restaurants.

Absolutely beautiful country house, surrounded by beautiful countryside. The garden was particularly lovely, perfect for a peaceful break. The hosts were very welcoming, showing us around the house and grounds, leaving us a bottle of wine made from their own grapes. We all loved it.

Property is perfect for a good rest. Pool is not huge and a bit shallow, but ok for the family to relax and refresh.
Additionally you can enjoy the rest of the farm and in my case even have the kids help the farm keeper harvest potatos.
I will try to come back for sure next opportunity I have.

Het huis is prachtig met een geweldige inrichting. De tuin is super mooi en zeer goed onderhouden. Er is veel te zien op een afstand van ongeveer 45 min rijden.
