Imagine a relaxing, intimate getaway from the city then look no further than this charming bungalow in Smiths Beach. Built for privacy and seclusion, the 2-bed,1-bath home offers a peaceful respite with Zen-like tranquility and immaculate design. Inside are cozy rooms infused with natural light and a modern aesthetic while outdoors features several serene spots for calming the senses. A short walk brings you right to the beach, and all Phillip Island attractions are an easy drive by car.
The Space:
This charming bungalow is the epitome of fantastic indoor/outdoor living. The residence’s interior is beautifully remodeled with all modern finishes that offer a stylish, yet comfortable and cozy space that perfectly complements the exterior’s bold architectural elements. Large doors off the main living area disappear when open allowing for seamless transition that brings the outdoors in and enables guests to fully enjoy every aspect of the property.
Inside, the smartly planned kitchen delivers with high-end upgrades such as all stainless appliances, Coffee machine, and sparkling tile accents. Bar seating plus a dining table provide plenty of options for both formal and informal meal service. After dinner, sinking into the living room’s incredibly comfy sectional sofa for evenings by the fireplace while streaming a movie is a must.
Both private bedrooms are soft and soothing with ceiling fans and bamboo wardrobes for stowing travel items. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and secluded workspace ideal for virtual commuting or studies, and bedroom 2 features a delightful queen bed. The shared bathroom is designed with the same level of detail as the bungalow’s other spaces with pristine tile accents on the shower/bath combo and refined chrome fixtures.
Guests may find themselves spending more time outside than in, though, with an extended front porch that does double-duty as a second living room. A comfortable seating area with inviting hammock is hidden from view by a sleek wrap-around privacy wall, making this a great space for relaxing with drinks or catching a quick nap after a day at the beach. Head to the large backyard where a private, raised pavilion with pergola offers a tranquil escape for meditation or yoga. And when the stars come out at night, the firepit is a captivating spot for winding down with stories of the day’s adventures.

In addition to the bungalow’s wonderful features, the property is a short walk to Smiths Beach, less than 5 minutes from Philip Island Grand Prix Circuit, and an easy drive to all the renowned parks, family-friendly experiences, and the penguin parades Phillip Island is known for. Must see highlights include Phillip Island Nature Parks, Antarctic Journey, Rhyll’s boardwalks, and historic Churchill Island.

Guest will have access to a lockbox with the key, being sent out 1 day before arrival

A maximum of two guest vehicles may park inside the gate on the driveway. Additional vehicles may park on the street, however, blocking or parking in neighboring driveways is prohibited.

This was the perfect holiday house for my family. It was clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for roughly a week with two small kids. Location wise it’s only a short walk to the beach (which we loved!) and the general store. The house itself was beautiful and relaxing, the front deck and garden was the perfect spot for breakfast and morning coffee.
Communication from the host was great and I can’t fault the property. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed for three nights, and we used Zen Bungalow as a base to explore Phillip Island. Zen Bungalow is well located, particularly for the GP Moto circuit and the Penguin Parade.
There is a beach in walking distance from the Bungalow (YCW Beach), and other beaches are not too far away.
The Bungalow itself is a well-equipped and cozy place to stay. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable, the front deck is a very pleasant place to while away some time, and the was shower nice and hot.
Would be happy to stay again.
