The property owner refused our stay when we arrived stating that they no longer booked through VRBO. He was extremely rude and hung up on me when I asked questions about why he was refusing us after confirmation of booking and accepting payment. After the VRBO customer service rep talked to him, they cancelled our booking for not meeting the age requirement. This was a weekend getaway booked for my 46th birthday, but we as a party didn't make the minimum age requirement. VRBO rep was great and got us a full refund after being unable to find any dog friendly accommodations available for memorial Day weekend within 3 hours of the rental. Don't waste your time booking, even if they decide 46 year olds are old enough to rent a house for a weekend. Spent my weekend edging my yard and weeding my vegetable garden.

I frequently camp with my family in that area. This was the first time staying in a rental like this. The place was beautiful, clean and alot bigger then I originally thought. It was perfect for my family and was in a great spot near most of the fun things around there. I would definitely stay there again if I get the chance!

We spent month at our place and had a great time. There was some issues which were quickly addressed. The property was quiet and private. The location was super in that it was close to the Fort Hadlock, Fort Flattery, Port Townsend, grocery stores, and other beaches,
The house was laid out very well, and comfortable, We enjoyed sitting on the deck were we saw some deer and a barn owl landed right railing very close to me.
I am sure you would enjoy staying there no matter how long

I would highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone who likes quiet and privacy. The house itself is very cool, roomy and a great design. The beds are very comfortable . The photos in the VRBO site do not do it justice. Marrowstone island is wonderful, with several great public beaches that are not too crowded. Nice place to hang out for a few days.

Great location in a beautiful spot. The home is comfortable as well as unique with lots of beautiful wood work and art. You can feel the generosity of spirit, pride and love that went into building the place. It is not an anonymous vacation home. Great place to get away from screens and decompress. Loved the vinyl records, books/games and proximity to the state parks and general store.
Spotty internet and cell coverage may be a negative for those that need to stay connected. We did have some challenges getting the check in information in a timely manner, but mistakes happen and it felt like an honest oversite. Overall would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet get away in a lovely part of the Olympic Peninsula.

The house is lovely - plenty of room, lovely space. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed for a great 3 day weekend.

For my family, this house was the perfect location for exploring nearby forts and state parks. The house was spacious and in a charming setting surrounded by dense woods. We saw gray owls and deers daily. The driveway and property was a bit overgrown, but for me, that just added to the charm.
Any cons were minor. A previous person had left windows and doors open, so there were alot of bugs indoors when we arrived (moths, mosquitos, spiders, ants, and even a few wasps) but that was no fault of the owner. The only other oddity we noticed was that the sleeping arrangement didn't quite match the description; we didn't see the listed sleeper sofa or futon--only a couch that was not a pull-out type. There were some broken lamps that need replacing. But none of that put a damper on our stay.
Overall, I loved the house and the location. The host, Jonathan, was quick to help and pleasant to deal with when we needed directions (and that was only because the VRBO listing had the address wrong by 1 digit). My family had a nice time and I would definitely consider staying at this property again.

Absolutely lovely little house in a secluded forest with a beautiful fire pit. Wish there wasn't a burn ban so we could have had a bon fire. The house is wonderful and there's a great set of casettes to listen to

We took the ferry from Edmonds and it was less than 100 miles round trip. You can tell this house was built with a lot of love and that's the vibe you get right away when you walk inside - loved the bench seat in the window! Great space for families or a get together with friends. Super close to two state parks (Flagler is awesome for kids) and our dogs loved it too!
