This quaint boutique resort gives vacationers a unique sense of privacy in this popular tourist town. Each villa has a full kitchen and its own balcony or patio with breathtaking ocean views. The resort also features a series of five cascading pools with an adjacent pool bar and an on-site restaurant, which is available for all meals and room service. Cobblestone streets adjacent to the resort lead to the wonderful beaches, restaurants, and activities that Puerto Vallarta is famous for.

This is your exclusive domain at Marcela! You will be just steps away from the resort's pools, restaurant, and pathway into the heart of Puerto Vallarta's vibrant old town, but also removed from the real world in a den of divine Mexican luxury.
Let's start on the patio because La Hacienda is equal parts indoors and out! You are literally living in the gardens of Marcela with two extensive private terraces, one on either side of the villa. The patio extends beyond the width of the entire Marcela building, with a full outdoor kitchen, stone wall, and sitting area alongside a roaring fireplace chiminea on one side.
On the other side, the outdoor area extends further with a corner hot tub Jacuzzi jutting out to greet our waterfalls, immaculate terraced gardens, and the Gaudí-inspired 'bone' bridges, all overlooking the pools and the sea. You can choose to dine at the eight-person glass table inside or dine outside beneath the massive palapa with two ceiling fans above, rounded stone sofa with cushions, and two round dining tables with a view for miles. Indulge in rest and relaxation, day or night, in your patio's four spa-like lounge chairs as you marvel at the roaring waterfalls of Marcela's incredible gardens.
La Hacienda's master bedroom is a showstopper! The king bed has a comfortable fabric headboard, a trio of dramatic stone arches above, soft off-white bedding, and the biggest bathroom at Marcela, which is a literal oasis of calm. There's a bidet, toilet, large tile rain shower with marble stone seat and three horizontal jets, double sinks, a large vanity, sitting area, and a designed water garden feature.
King bedroom number two is draped in rich reds and dark woods and is beside the second bathroom, with its green-tile sunken tub and rain shower.
The third bedroom at the far end of the villa is bright and airy with teal walls and crisp white bedding. It is bathed in sunlight as the room pours out onto the curved tile patio and the suite's amazing outdoor kitchen. The connected bathroom has a sunken tile jetted tub and rainfall shower, toilet, sink, and features a chic wooded armoire and detailed tile work throughout.
At the end of the day, you can unwind in the enormous living room outfitted with multiple sofas, chairs, a massive HDTV, and native pieces of art. The villa's impressive indoor kitchen features a 6-burner stove, oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave, blender, coffee maker, and all the pots, pans, flatware, and stoneware you'll need to enjoy your stay.

We rented the 2nd floor, 3 bedroom suite for the week before Christmas and loved everything about it. Luxuriously large living space overlooking the pool area below. We tend to avoid resorts but this was the best of both worlds. The amenities of a resort, but small enough
that it wasn't overcrowded. We have stayed in a lot of rentals and this is by far the nicest one we have been to.
