House with garden and private pool

Full disclosure, I booked the villa assuming that for 2k a week there was AC, so that is on me. However when I realised this I asked to verify and they confirmed there isn't AC. I was told that the villa is a 'eco' villa and therefore really cool inside. It is not. It was the same temperature inside as it was outside (high 30s), so please be aware of this. The heat in the bedrooms, even with fans on, is unreal and makes sleeping really hard. Its so hot in there. There are lots of mosquitoes around, but they didn't bother us.Also be aware there is absolutely nothing nearby to visit. You will need to drive to Valencia or the beach for anything to do and there are no restaurants, bars etc within walking distance of the villa.Other than this the villa is lovely, and the pool is great. Supermarket is a 2 minutes drive, and Valencia is only a 25 minute drive and is a wonderful city to see.

We stayed at this property for a sunny week in July 2024. Communication before visit and arrival was good. The property is absolutely gorgeous. Clean and roomy. Good design to keep cool inside the house. Lovely big kitchen. Space to sit and eat as a family in kitchen, in living room and in the garden. Comfy beds. The windows all have insect guards in which were fab to keep the windows open and the bugs out. The garden is absolutely beautiful - full of palms, cycads and cactus. Sun loungers, outdoor sofas and a hammock to use. A few mosquitoes- my husband and kids were not bothered but if you are one of those people who seem to attract mosquitoes (like me) then use some repellent. Having a private pool was an absolute treat. It’s a decent size and depth and we used it every day. The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars for everything is that it said in property description that there was a hot tub but there wasn’t one. Otherwise, everything as described and good quality / clean. We hired a car so we could pop in and out of Valencia - fab big indoor market and the Oceanagraphic / City of sciences and arts area is not to be missed. We also had a sunset boat ride on the Albufera freshwater lake, which was lovely. There’s a supermarket Mercadona not far away which is well stocked

We had a lovely week in Valencia. It is a lovely house in a nice neighbourhood, but we really missed not having air conditioning in 40 degrees and found it very difficult to sleep. The pool was lovely. The bedrooms were ok but two not as shown in the photos. One is a lovley young childs room, which my tall 12 year old only just managed to squeeze into. The kitchen had everything we needed but quite random and some things needed cleaning before use. As with some other feedback we did hear a lot of dogs barking, but it wasnt constant. Not quite the stay we expected from the ratings but we still had a nice time.
