About this house rental
Villa Solviken is located in the lake and forest area of Värmland and belongs to the small village of Simonstorp, which actually consists of just a few houses - you won't find a village shop here - you will find an idyll here that hardly exists. So don't be surprised if a flock of Canada geese walks past you on the street - it's their customary law and nobody will disturb them.
Villa Solviken is not a small house and was completely renovated in 2015, i.e. h .: new bathrooms (one with whirlpool), super-comfortable fitted kitchen with touchscreen hob, fridge-freezer combination, triple-glazed windows, modern ventilation via inventory for a good indoor climate - and of course a high-quality equipment for the living rooms. You don't have to do without connecting to civilization, because Villa Solviken has high-speed internet (fiber optic cable). The kitchen is large, 6 people can comfortably sit at the dining table - and are spoiled with a view of Lake Tvällen. The covered terrace is more than spacious, the lake almost at your fingertips. The comfortable seating in the living room will delight you. On the ground floor there is also a smaller bedroom and the bathroom with a whirlpool. The two bedrooms upstairs are larger and have their own wardrobes. The shower room is also on the upper floor.
Villa Solviken has a full basement - enough storage space for bulky holiday items such as golf bags or surfboards can be accommodated here.
The washing machine is set up here - so there is no tightness in the utility area - not even on the property with a lot of lawn around the house, because it is 2,500 m² in size and extends to the edge of the forest.
The boat launch for our guests is located directly on the lakeshore in front of the house. Here we have moored a rowboat for trips across the lake.
Anglers will also like to use the boat.

We loved the lake and the forest. There was so much to discover by swimming, hiking and doing standup-paddeling.

With our 2 kids we spend a week in this lovely house. The house was well equipped and clean. We enjoyed our time and saw a lot of wildlife (moose, canadian geese, crane, deer, grass snake). We often drove to a small beach (only 5 min by car) were the kids played in the lake or on the rocks.

We had a very good week in this beautiful and perfectly well equipped house. Everything; kitchen, electric devices, sauna, furniture, etc. are in a very good condition and everything worked well. From the first few minutes on we felt like being at home.
We spent an active vacation here. In Gräsmark (about 20 minutes by car) we found a facility for athletics, with running tracks, football fields, gymnasium and so on. There were also a tennis courts in a perfect condition, which we were able to use freely.
The lake, just a few steps in front of the house, is very beautiful and rich with fishes. A boat with an electric engine was provided freely by the landlord. We used it much for our fishing sessions and we caught many fishes. The lake is full of fishes, we literally saw them catching insects, that were walking on surface of the water. We simply put the fishhook there, provided with a worm and we caught a fish within seconds.
So late in the autumn, the temperature of the water did only have a few degrees. So we rounded off our vacation with a visit at a nearby bathhouse named: "Torsby Badet". It is a beautiful and cosy facility with less than 10 people there, at the time we were there. It is a perfect location for families with children or for swimmers.
The landlord always had an open ear for our needs and took good care of us. We had a great holiday and we would definitely like to come back again.
