Mountain house in the Pyrenees, Moulis St Girons

We loved the house and the surroundings.

Everyone must stay at Bernard's house, but if you're expecting everything to be very close, this house isn't for you. Bernard and his wife welcomed me and my family who speak very little french, with a lot generosity. They informed us of the local surroundings, shops and nearby hiking paths. The house is superbly fully equipped and very spacious even for a large family. The view's overlooking the mountains are extraordinary even in early morning with a fresh cup of coffee, seeing the sun rise and listening to the cow bells in the distance. Thank you Bernard and your wife for a lovely holiday.

If you are looking for peace and quiet in the country with the sound of cow bells and birds, this is perfect! The home has been lovingly restored by the owners and was very comfortable. The owners were also so lovely and welcoming, even helping us as we got our car stuck on the drive (the drive is steep!) but the view is totally worth it. We would highly recommend!

We had a party of 7 staying at this beautiful house with two dogs, and we could not have loved it more. It is situated in a beautiful part of the country, so peaceful and quiet that all your worries fade away. The views we had while staying there from either inside the house or in the garden were superb, and we had some fantastic weather to enjoy there. We found it more than warm enough, even when the temperature dropped a little, the fires we were able to have in the burners more than warmed the building up (you get a lovely roaring fire in the burner - it was brilliant). The owners very welcoming and helpful to any question that we had. They were even went the extra mile when we left a jacket to send it back to us!!! We did not want to return home!
