Guest access

This property is nestled in a unique area of Savannah that I like to call "Brunch Central" so a fabulous property for those planning to dine out and experience the Savannah food scene! We are sandwiched between - Urban Deli, J Christophers, Hitch & Clarys from the famous Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. Check out their Trip Advisor reviews to plan ahead for brunch. We do have a newly updated kitchen with full-size refrigerator, stove, dishwasher & pantry storage if you're planning to stay in cook though!

3 private bedrooms are each unique. The two King Suites are very spacious and the Queen Bedroom suite is a little more snug. All of the bedrooms have memory foam mattresses and access to the central bathroom. King room #1 has chaise lounge and adjoins to the living room. The Middle King Room has an antique red velvet couch, fireplace and full size closet with views of Troup Square. Queen bedroom is cozy with views of Troup Square.

Full size laundry washer/dryer is located in living room closet.

The locals cruise up and down the street on the weekends & in the evenings by bike. This residential area is a gem as it is more quiet than the central historic district yet you can still stroll the streets with an Open Container of your favorite adult beverage and it is perfectly legal!

From the bedrooms, you'll be looking out at sky and magical oak branches drenched with Spanish moss. There is a porch off the back. Brand new memory foam beds: 2 King Size Beds & a Queen size bed for a single or couple plus 50 in. flatscreen Smart TV in living room. Wifi, Smart TV to stream your Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime, on-street parking, 1 porch, and more in what many say is their "favorite house in Savannah"! Weekly and Monthly Rates available too.

Even though there are windows everywhere, there are floor length curtains you can use if you wish, but honestly, no one can see in because you are up in the trees. I encourage letting the light pour in!

Other things to note:

The small porch-looking areas off the bedrooms *outside the windows* are not for guests to go onto. They are the roofs of the downstairs bay windows and not safe for walking on so please do not go out on top of the windows below.

This property is non-smoking.

We provide you with starter rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. You will need to purchase toilet paper, paper towels, coffee and groceries as this is the main difference between renting a home and staying in a hotel! Please plan ahead there is a CVS and also a Kroger with an easy walking distance for those of you that are feeling athletic or a short Uber ride if you re planning on carrying a lot back!

The Heating & Air throughout the property is from brand new Mini Split Units that act as thermostats to let you adjust the temperature to your liking.

The back porch, which is off the kitchen, faces north and overlooks the courtyard of the restaurant below plus tops of other historic properties! This area is a staging area for patio seating and the friendly cafe staff takes breaks in this area!

PARKING: Street parking is available for our home. Some options surrounding our home are free along Harris Street, limited time spots (in front of restaurant to 1 hr) and also paid parking. This is an Urban area so you may have to look for a spot. Please be aware of sweeping zones when parking.

Parking is STREET PARKING on non-metered limited time zone. City of Savannah offers a Visitor DAYPASS allows limited parking in any City parking garage/lot, parking overtime in limited time zones or at any parking meter with a time limit of one hour or more for a period of 48 hours from purchase. The Visitor DAYPASS is available to Savannah visitors for a price of $24 for 2 days and $15 for a single day.

Let me preface this by saying that the property is in a wonderful location, but with that said the property was no where near up to my standards. It was one of the dirtiest properties I have ever stayed in. There were brown mop streaks all over the main bathroom floor. The rugs in the property are so dirty that they feel like an unclean chalk board. The shower, toilet, and sinks were not great, but they were ok. In the hosts defense, I did not ask to get the cleaners back in the property, so they did not have a chance to rectify the situation. That is because once I am in a property I don't want the cleaners coming back in. That should be taken care of prior to my arrival. We also weren't able to use the back porch of the property because of a large wasp nest, and the main light in the main bathroom was non-functional. The property is also a historic property that wasn't renovated in a way that I found acceptable. As an example, there is a leak behind a wall to the point that the wall is soft, discolored, and bowing out. There are rusted vents, gaps in doors and moldings so large insects can walk right though without issue. The painted floor is peeling up, ceiling pieces coming down, door knobs falling out of holes as well as curtain rods falling down because they aren't properly secured. I booked this property because of all of the wonderful reviews about how clean the property was, and that simply wasn't my experience.
