About this cabin rental
Sunset Retreat is located in the very popular, Musick Creek subdivision. A prime location...close to restaurants and just 2 miles to the lake. Shaver Lake is the perfect place to vacation. The climate is ideal with cool summers and mild winters. The list of activities is long and includes, hiking, fishing, skiing, sledding, boating, snowmobiling, horseback riding, and more!

Sunset Retreat is located in a prime location with the most Ahhhmazing sunset views and outdoor space! The cabin has been upgraded throughout and sit on a lovely cul-de-sac. We think you will really enjoy the enormous deck with a VIEW... stunning sunsets & backs a massive granite landscape.

A fully equipped open kitchen provides a user-friendly space to cook a meal. A washer and dryer in the cabin are perfect for soggy ski clothes or beach towels. Entertainment options like flat-screen TVs mean you can cozy up with a good movie next to the fireplace! Large deck with table and chairs in the summertime, with a good cup of joe in hand (complimentary selection of coffee and hot cocoa are offered, of course).
We beautiful large outdoor space with covered bbq area with seating. The perfect spot to catch the sunset!

Toiletries - We DO provide shampoo, conditioner & body wash.
We are pet friendly and we are happy to welcome your well house- and furniture-trained pups! We do ask that you clean up after them inside and out. There is a non-refundable pet fee of $150 per stay and that covers up to two dogs. You will want to add this at the time of booking.
If you have a large party, multiple families, family reunion, wedding...secure multiple cabins to be close to your friends and family! Message me for details @thecabinhost.
As part of our effort to help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide you with the below protection. The cost of this protection has been included in your rental rate and fees and covers you for accidental damages during your stay. The Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $3,000 of coverage for accidental contents damage and up to $500,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury. The Trust and Safety Fee is refundable only if the reservation is canceled in writing at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the arrival date. Any deductible or minimum claim amount will be the responsibility of the Guest and The Cabin Host will process using the form of payment on file for Guest.

I understand why it is called the Sunset Retreat. The sunsets are amazing and one of the high points of our trip. The area was extremely peaceful and quiet. All our meals were served outside on the beautiful deck. Jamie is very easy to get ahold of and easy to talk to. I highly recommend The Cabin Host!

My family and I had a lovely stay at Sunset Retreat. You can tell the house has been remodeled recently. It was pet friendly yet still very clean, which my dog and I appreciated. The beds were comfortable, and there were lots of linens, blankets, pillows available. The only thing was the top bunk did not have the rails put on, so I didn't feel comfortable with my children using the top bunk and one of the trundles on the pull-out couch in the loft was broken. Other than those two small things, it was great for sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked, although we could not find a can opener and it could use one larger skillet. The bathrooms were clean, and towels and shampoo/soap were provided. We used the laundry to wash some of the towels and there was laundry det available as well. Lots of basic cleaning supplies if you need them.
The fireplace was lovely and having the wood provided was a huge plus!
Saving the best for last, the deck on the patio is gorgeous with great views. It was too cold for us to enjoy fully but we will return. My children and dog loved climbing the granite rock directly behind the house and at the top you get some amazing views and sunset pictures.
We have stayed at quite a few different cabins in Shaver, and this was my all-around favorite. Thank you Jaime!
