Poggio al Colle is a old stonehouse situated in the wonderful hilly landscape between San Gimignano (12 km) and Volterra (20 km), near the hamlet of San Vivaldo with its interesting convent (500 m).. The property is situated in panoramic position and it is part of a farm with 120 ha of vineyards, olive groves an corn fields. It is surrounded by trees and meadows. The house has several outdoor areas with furniture like a porch where to dine al fresco and upstairs a large terrace with a view. A little below the house, in a very good position, there is a swimming pool, sun terrace and separate WC. The furnishing is in style with the house and has some period furniture. The house is for max. 11 adults and 2 childern under the age of 12 years. Country house "Poggio al Colle", renovated, surrounded by trees and meadows. 8 km from the centre of Montaione, in a secluded, sunny position on top of a hill, in the countryside. Probably the photographs do not reflect just how great this is. C. and her family are lovely people and are very welcoming. The pool is a great size with stunning views and cleaned daily. The house, which is an old property has great character and huge. We were a family of 10 which included 4 small kids and they had a fantastic time. Loads of room outside and in. Very well equipped and the outdoor table very large. The village of San Vivaldi with its restaurant a 5 min walk uphill. Unlit.

La situation géographique et la maison (de l’exterieur) sont très bien. La maison est très jolie de l’extérieur, l’espace terrasse couverte avec barbecue et jardin avec piscine parfaits. Il y a même des balançoires avec une vue splendide sur la Toscane. Cet aspect extérieur si enchanteur révèle un contraste important avec l’espace intérieur vétuste. Décoration ancienne, literie à améliorer (on sent bien les ressorts) salles de bains (2) vintage, quelques détails agaçants (aucune cafetière fonctionnelle à l’arrivee mais problème résolu dès le lendemain), lave-vaisselle peu efficace, pommeaux de douche farcis de calcaire et l’eau ne sort pas trop bien, évacuation des douches lentes, réseau électrique aux normes mais reste à savoir de quelle décennie?! Une prise sur 2 utilisable, wifi uniquement accessible au rez-de-chaussée car au 1er, déconnexion fréquente... Bref, si tous ces petits détails peuvent passer avec un coût de location inférieur, à 3800€ la semaine, cela n’est pas acceptable. Nous souhaitions louer une grande villa toscane pour 10 pers., et si une nouvelle fois la maison et les paysages extérieurs sont fantastiques (couchées de soleil sublimes, Toscane des magazines), les prestations intérieures laissent l’impression d’avoir loué un « gîte rural » pour randonneurs de passage. Si cette situation ne poserait pas de question à un coût inférieur, les tarifs appliqués pour une semaine en été ne sont pas en phase avec les prestations intérieures. Pour aller à Florence, l’option train depuis Castelfiorentino est à privilégier. Superbes villes à proximité (Volterra, San Gimignano) et excellent restaurant à 400 m de la maison, rapport qualité prix imbattables, avec un accueil des plus sympas.
