Ideal for a break in the Derbyshire Peak District throughout the seasons. At the ground level you will be greeted via a sunroom into the impressive interior. A cosy sitting area with mezzanine reading area above both with tasteful furnishings, perfect for retiring to when evening draws in. A delightful newly fitted cottage kitchen, leading into the light filled shower room. The stairs lead you to the landing area with seating to enjoy a book or just a view out of the Velux window. The bedroom is light and airy with a double bed to enjoy once a day’s exploring has been completed. Outside is a cottage garden and seating area with furniture to enjoy your morning coffee. Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by, giving the opportunity to explore the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s Kingdom accessed through a cable car, and offering spectacular views of the Derwent Valley. From here you can tour the network of caverns and passageways or walk over sixty acres of woodland hillside. An ideal base from which to explore the region’s attractions including the magnificent stately homes.
The beautiful Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are an absolute must see. Visit the picturesque villages of Bakewell and Ashover both close by. Excellent walking can be found from the doorstep, plus activities at Carsington Water including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and cycling, plus excellent birdwatching in the surrounding areas.

Had a few nights away with my Wife. Really nice and clean. Short walk into Matlock Bath down a big hill but was not for the faint hearted walking back. You need to be fit or go in a car. Great kitchen and living room area. Also comfy bed. Definitely recommend for a chilled few days away 100% would go back

One of the best holiday properties we’ve stayed in. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Super comfy bed. Nicely appointed bathroom with big shower. The kitchen had everything we needed - the only thing we missed was having a microwave in the kitchen. The property is in a very quiet location. You could easily walk down to the cable car station in Matlock Bath. Within easy reach of Chatsworth House, Dovedale and Ashbourne. We will definitely stay again in the future.
