Cosy, very clean and well located. Very well supplied with a number of nice touches.
Traffic noise can be a bit noisy during busy periods

Location was good for access to the Peak District. The chimney was great and the cottage felt cozy. Beds were comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. The sofa was comfortable. They left a bottle of wine for us.
We missed having a shampoo for the shower, and we had to use the hand soap as gel. There was quite a bit of noise from the road, it was busier than we expected it to be.

Very cosy with the fire and comfortable. Had everything you needed.
Noise from the road and no windows to open. Felt a but claustrophobic! No instructions for the rubbish, whether we were supposed to recycle etc. Bin was full outside and we do like to empty bins etc before we leave but there was nowhere to put it.

Upon arrival, we found the cottage to be beautiful, a small cosy country feel, with a lovely wood burning stove and very comfy bed. We were surprised to find the cottage beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and even a little tree. There was a fully equipped kitchen and even a complimentary bottle of Mulled Wine for us to enjoy. Communication from the hosts was brilliant with all the info sent to us prior to arrival. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and would stay here again if we are in the area.
Nothing. We very much enjoyed our stay.

So cosy and welcoming. Very cleverly laid out and spotlessly clean. Just a perfect little cottage for a weekend away.
Road was a little noisy but we didn’t let that spoil anything.

Fully equipped. Clean. Comfortable bed.
Stairs. Lack of windows. Slippy floors.

Cosy downstairs and wonderfully inviting sofa. Beautiful home that I'm sure would be appropriate for someone more agile than me. I loved the living room and especially the fireplace decoration.
I struggled with the stairs. The location was too noisy for me due to the road. No microwave which was probably my fault for not reading better. No fault to the host here, it just didn't suit me personally.

Really liked the location...very quiet very scenic and the cottage was quaint and quirky ..loved it.bathroom etc was lovely and clean and there was a bottle of milk and bottle of wine left for me which was very thoughtful.
The only thing i can knock is the awkwardness of getting into the cottage with bags etc as it was very tight.

Property is gorgeous, full of character, homely and welcoming. All home comforts you would expect plus a few extra. Wine, biscuits, coffee pods, milk and dish washing sponges cloths etc very much appreciated. Excellent location, near to pubs, restaurants, convenience store and chip shop. Easy access to local areas of beauty Matlock Bath, Bakewell and many scenic walks.
Free parking in the next street.
We loved this property and had a great birthday weekend away, even though it poured down it didn't ruin our holiday.
I have a tiny criticism, but still think this is an excellent property and will go back in the future! My criticism is that the grouting in the shower needs reviewing as it makes the shower appear not clean which it isn't. If this was my house I would be giving this my attention.

Beautiful, cosy cottage in a lovely village. The cottage had everything we needed with cat parking on the street. We appreciated the portable fan during the heatwave- thank-you!

As soon as we walked in the history just hits you. Absolutely stunning. Everything you needed it was there.
You needed to have a few more fans around as it was very warm. It's the heat wave so we had to move the little fan which was upstairs around the house with us. As dog are aloud you could do with a baby gate or something so you can have the front door open in the summer to let air in. You can get ones that roll back in themselves so it is less intrusive.

The Little cottage was beautifully decorated with real beams ,stone walls and tiled floors ,an authentic cottage. The kitchen was all you would need for a short stay, the bedroom large with a very comfortable bed plenty of drawer and wardrobe space and great bedside lights. Peter and Stuart had provided plenty of board games should you tire of the television and the weather turn bad. A delightful place to stay though we did find the stairs a little scary.
The traffic noise was a little intrusive as we live in a very quiet area but we soon got used to it.

Kitchen was cute and shower was nice.
No wood for the log burner

The property is lovely and idle for a couple of days. It has everything you need and is very well maintained. We specifically welcomed the Prosecco, which was a very nice touch.
Unfortunately, the noise of the road outside was just too loud at times, so we did not get a good night's sleep. I am not sure what could be done to stop this, though, which is sad because it might mean that we would stay longer next time. For the two nights we were there, it was enough.

Clear careful thought had been given to welcome and comfort.
Traffic noise. Lack of view. These things cannot be helped but would bar a longer stay.

Cosy cottage with good facilities, very tidy & clean.
Quite noisy road at times but that did not spoil the stay.

Very nicely laid out and very clean and cosy great location, nice to have milk in fridge.
We could hear all the traffic especially the lorrys to/from the quarries, was louder in the bedroom it got to the point of not being able to sleep properly over both nights. The shower didn't stay on long enough to have a decent shower, the button stayed on for a couple of seconds, not ideal, so had to keep pressing it. Complimentary wine wasn't offered, as mentioned in the owners property guide at the property and also mentioned in visitor book. Passage in front of property full of rubbish in black bin liners during the whole stay, not nicest thing to see on approach to property.

Cosy little cottage with perfect log fire. The most comfortable bed ever, we slept so well. Within walking distance of pubs, and good distance to matlock bath. The complimentary bottle of wine was the cherry on the top! Hosts were also super friendly with any needs or questions we had.
That it's not our permanent home - we loved it here.

Neighbouring road very loud; drafty door

Thanks for a great place to stay. A home away from home. Good communication from the owners. Keys were available from a lock box and the code was provided the day before our stay. Great location to explore the peaks and surrounding area (Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Chatsworth house etc) Local pubs and restaurants were good- the boat inn, the greyhound, parkeys eatery. Perfect size cottage for a couple plus a dog. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfy bed. Everything we needed for a chilled weekend away.
A little traffic noise in the morning (Friday) but can’t complain as the location in general was great. And everything was very accessible from there.

The location was fine but a bit noisier than expected as we were very near a main Rd
The sofa was not very comfy and the mattress on one side dips inwards a bit. I don't mean to be negative but I have a bad back and I'm sensitive to these things
