About this house rental
The first floor features the dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room is distinguished by a large stone from the mountains embedded in the wall and a wooden ceiling adorned with hand-painted romantic motifs.
On the middle floor is the bedroom, featuring a double canopy bed and a rustic window that lets in soft natural light. The bathroom is equipped with a 19th-century-style bathtub and a stone sink. It also opens onto a small private patio with trees and shrubs, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air or have a meal on sunny days.
On the top floor is a living room with a piano and a library, offering a striking view of the village of Eugaria, the mountains, and the sea. A bedroom with a single Nordic-inspired fold-out bed and a window offering an excellent view of the mountain landscape.
“Casa da Folha” is surrounded by other small village houses and stately estates that transport us back to the 19th century. It’s a great starting point for interesting hikes through the mountains.
Located on the northern slope of the mountains, Eugaria can only be reached via the Estrada Nova da Rainha, the old road that runs through the heart of the natural park. There are no shops in the village—just houses, farms, and a small chapel. However, it is a mere 2 km from the town of Colares, where you’ll find several cafés, restaurants, a grocery store, a supermarket, a regional winery, gas stations, a pharmacy, and other establishments. It is also close to the towns of Sintra (6 km) and Cascais, and a half-hour drive from Lisbon.
