The "Grindstone Beach" provides accommodation for up to 6 people, is located near the beach of St. Matthew and restaurants.
The "Grindstone Beach" was one of the last mills to grind cereals in Graciosa Island by 2002. The mill restoration project began in 2009 with the purpose of preserving the most of its features. They were also recovered some pieces and utensils used in the milling activity for future memory, lying on display.
You'll love the space due to its unique atmosphere, the tranquility, the nature of Graciosa Island, the lighting, the comfortable beds and table football! The accommodation is suitable for couples and families (with children), and also for small groups.

I honestly cannot say enough about how wonderful this place was!! Not only was the property unique but communication with João was consistent and clear and very helpful. The fresh bread delivery every morning was amazing as was the dinner they was waiting for me due to my later arrival. I would definitely stay here again!! Lots of parking and close to all amenities. Obrigada João!!!

The property was great. Joao L. was flexible after I needed to extend my stay. Sonia and MOM was great and all the unexpected FREEBIES (food). I LOVE THIS PLACE. I definitely recommend to any visitors to this Azorean Island.

Our stay was great. The mill was a perfect base to explore the island from. It was well kept and had all the things we needed to be able to cook and spend time after our days exploring. The owner was very responsive to any questions.Overall this was a great place to stay.

A wonderful, restful stay in a unique home. João has lovingly restored this historic windmill to make it modern and comfortable. An excellent place to escape the stress of the world and experience Graciosa.
