Welcome to "The Getaway on 30A" - our 4 Bedroom, 3.5 Bathroom home at Forest Lakes in Blue Mountain Beach.
LOCATION:
This is a charming home nestled between the longleaf pines of the Forest Lakes community in Blue Mountain Beach. This gated community is a stone's throw from Draper Lake - one of Florida's rare dune lakes - and a five-minute cart/bike ride from shopping, dining, and public beach access.
PROPERTY OVERVIEW:
The home's quintessential craftsman exterior is lined with over-hanging rooftops and rafter tails. As you step in from the spacious front porch, the partially-paned doors and large windows fill the open living/dining room with natural light. There's plentiful communal space with table seating for six people and an additional four stools at the breakfast bar. The living room comes with ample seating space and a 48" TV.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with upgraded stainless steel appliances, a gas range and hood, and all the cookware you'll need for your getaway. Down the hallway from the kitchen is the powder room and 1st-floor master bedroom, complete with a king-size bed, full en suite (walk-in shower and bathtub), and generously-sized closet space. The master also offers access to outdoor deck seating.
Bedroom two on the second floor offers a king-sized bed, a desk, and en suite. Bedroom three also comes with a king bed and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom three comfortably fits a king bed and a shower/tub combo in the jack-and-jill bathroom that connects through to the two twin bunk beds of bedroom four. Each bedroom comes with its own TV and closet space. The second floor also comes with a laundry room.
The exterior of the home features a spacious front porch, back deck, and side patio. The home is EV-friendly, and has a level 2 charger installed in the carport which is free for guest use.
AMENITIES:
The Forest Lakes community provides a gas grill and covered picnic area. The seasonally heated community pool completed an extensive renovation in March, 2021.
The home provides a six-seater golf cart, four beach cruisers, beach gear, towels (including beach towels), fresh linens, two pack-n-plays, cutlery, and cooking utensils.
You will find everything you need in the home to make the most of your time on the Emerald Coast. We offer a starter-supply of premium, eco-friendly guest amenities:

NOTES:
This community has strict rules for guests. Violations for not following them are $100/day fines that will be levied to the guest:
- Hanging towels, swimsuits, or other beach gear on porches or outside spaces
- Parking anywhere other than the driveway of the home
- Leaving trash cans out on days other than trash collection days - not to go out before 6pm the night of trash collection days.
Unless you have specifically arranged for an early arrival time, please do not arrive at the property before your scheduled check-in time.
The home comes with a six-person golf cart and bikes for you to use. Please only park the golf cart at the property overnight. Only licensed persons over 21 years of age who have signed the golf cart liability waiver are permitted to operate the golf cart.
Guests are permitted a maximum of two cars within the community to only be parked on the home's driveway - parking elsewhere in the community is not permitted.
The primary guest must be 25 or older to rent this home.
Construction - This neighborhood - along with many others along the 30A - is growing, and as such there may be construction with attendant noise that may take place during your stay. By booking this listing, you acknowledge that you possible construction noise won't be an issue for you and that you understand that no discounts or refunds will be given for this reason.
Do not hang towels on porch/balcony railings. The HOA imposes fines on guests found to be doing so.

This home totally blew us away, and was the best vacation home we've ever visited.
It was nice and comfortable down to every little detail. Each bathroom was stocked with more than enough items to suit our needs, there were even cute tissue boxes with funny sayings, décor in every corner that was nice and minimal but gave the perfect touch, more than enough towels—even for a big family—our praises for this place go on and on!
The kitchen was fully stocked, and as a family that likes to cook for each other regularly, this was a must. Even the turn-style spice rack was equipped with more than enough seasonings. We did bring our own because we weren't sure what was available, but upon entering the first day we found that we would be totally set up for a great vacation.
I am a picky person when it comes to cleanliness and where I take my family, so every bed, sheet and pillowcase is examined before we really settle in. With that said, EVERYTHING was so immaculately clean. Every rug was fresh, every shower curtain nice with no stains or mildew, every commode, every window, every surface, the couch, the dining area, every piece of flooring—seriously, this team did not miss a thing in the cleanliness department. Thank you so much for that!
We absolutely loved having the golf cart, also! This fixture was actually one of the deciding factors in renting the home as we knew it would be crucial for us in getting to the beach with all our kids and beach-day supplies, and it did not disappoint. Our first official morning we did have someone come by and quickly address an issue with one of the seatbelts, but he was so very kind and made sure to mention more than once that he didn't want to impose on us while on vacation and could come back later while we weren't there, but I let him know it was no problem at all as the family wasn't up and moving yet and we really appreciated how quickly he arrived to fix the issue for us. It took mere minutes, his presence wasn't an imposition at all, and we so appreciated him.
The privacy and feeling of safety and security in the community was something we've never experienced at this level. Every person we ran into was so nice and polite, whether they were vacationers or home owners. Having a large family with small children means we must feel secure wherever we vacation, so this was a true blessing. The bikes provided also added a level of fun for everybody, not just the kids.
It is obvious that you maintain such a high standard for your home, I wish other companies and vacation home owners took the same level of pride of ownership as you all!
We would absolutely love to book with you again, thank you so much for hosting us. We fell in love with Santa Rosa Beach, a quiet little beach town with everything we needed. We hope to stay with you all again next year!

Everything was great..easy check in and if I had any questions they got back to me fast. House was very clean and so nice. We would definitely stay here again.
