This Spacious and luxurious 140 sq apartment boasts one of the best locations in Madrid de los Austrias,in the very heart of downtown Madrid, near the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, and in walking proximity to many of the capital´s most famous sights and "must-do" attractions.

Located in a historic pedestrian street, in a classic majestic building of the XVII century which is a perfect example of the traditional architecture you can find in this part of the city, this spacious apartment has been fully renovated and decorated in a truly contemporary style, with high quality natural stone flooring throughout, wenge wood in kitchen and bathrooms , and above all, with a superb and loving attention to detail in the décor. This building is categorized as an artistic heritage of old town Madrid.
The focal point of the property ( 4th floor of the building with elevator) is its impressive 52 sqm open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area that runs the length of the apartment, with four classic Spanish balconies looking out onto the street below.
The space is extremely light and bright all day, emphasized by the stunning contemporary furnishings used throughout, and the unique layout makes it perfect for entertaining or just relaxing in the wall to wall tailor made sofa. The large modern kitchen is slightly separated from the rest of the living area via a breakfast bar, and comes fully equipped with everything you need during your stay.
The master bedroom (with super king size bed of 1.8x2m) is very large and bright with an additional antique dressing table area for added convenience. The en-suite bathroom is extremely elegant in design, and features a separate bath and walk-in shower, whilst the second bedroom features 2 single beds (0.9x2 m)with pull-out mattress underneath (trundle), perfect for youngsters or guests. There is also a sofa which is a cosy place to read comfortably during the day or be used as day single ( 80 cm) bed, which transforms at night into two single beds ( 0.8x2 m each) or one queen size (1.60x2m).Both bedrooms offer plenty of wardrobe space and receive plenty of sunlight all day through traditional windows facing one interior patio, and therefore extremely quiet day and night.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this VRBO apartment in Madrid! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was a gem. The location couldn’t have been better—just an 18-minute walk to Plaza Mayor and all the major tourist sites, which made exploring the city a breeze. The apartment is also perfectly situated near tapas bars, vibrant nightlife, and a convenient grocery store, so everything we needed was right at our fingertips.The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable. The master bedroom featured a luxurious king-size bed, and the second bedroom had two cozy double beds—perfect for our family. We really appreciated the excellent air conditioning and heating, which made the apartment feel like an oasis after a long day of sightseeing. Having a washer and dryer was a huge bonus, especially for longer stays, and made doing laundry super convenient.The kitchen was well-equipped with an oven, microwave, and refrigerator. We ended up cooking several meals in the apartment, which was a great way to save a little money while enjoying the local flavors in the comfort of our space.As for the host, they were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were always available to help with any request, big or small. It’s clear they care deeply about their guests’ experience.We also compared this apartment to others around the same time, and we truly got the best deal—great location, fantastic amenities, and unbeatable

This apartment was so very centrally located, that was just great! It was so very easy to orientate yourself in the city.The check-in process was very simple (although we were not met by anyone).Our contact Jordi was extremely helpful during our stay. He even arranged for a taxi the morning of our departure.There are a few minor things that would have made our stay even better; a proper bread knife, a larger coffee maker, increased privacy in the guest bathroom and some games or cards. These are minor compared the location and the apartment.I highly recommend this VRBO!

Apartment location and size were great. Main problem was we booked this two bedroom and 2 bath but the bath tubs faucets would not turn or work. This is for both bathrooms. Also, the faucet above one of the sinks in the primary did not work. Our son had to shower in our shower. We paid for a functional 2 bath apartment and did not receive as described. It made our 5 day stay challenging. The host commented “thanks for letting me know” have a Happy Holiday. No attempt to repair. Furniture in living room is uncomfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen.
