Perched atop the mountain just three miles past the Leatherwood Welcome Center, Palomar is a charming hewn cedar cabin offering privacy, comfort, and stunning panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy the scenery from the wide covered porch or unwind in the hot tub on the deck. Perfect for a romantic honeymoon or peaceful retreat, this cozy cabin features traditional mountain décor, 2 bedrooms, and an open loft, comfortably sleeping 4 to 6 guests.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).
Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

Outstanding property and awesome views...though a steep gravel drive up to property may appear scary, especially for those uninitiated with mountain driving, slowing taking our time to ingress and engress the driveway worked well! We would definitely recommend this property for rental.Gary and Shirley J
