Unwind in the hot tub beneath a sunset or star-filled sky, or relax by one of two wood-burning fireplaces. With an open floor plan, game room with pool table, and three satellite TVs, this home is designed for comfort and connection.
The spacious primary suite features an elevated king bed (step stool provided), while the open layout ensures everyone enjoys the scenery. Whether you're soaking in the views or gathering by the fire, you’ll find it hard to leave this peaceful retreat.
Nestled in Leatherwood Mountains Resort, Black Bear Lodge offers access to horseback riding, fly fishing, dining, tubing, hiking, biking, and more—perfect for romantic escapes, family vacations, or reunions in nature’s finest setting.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).
Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

The house was in a perfect location. Secluded and privacy is really good. The views in the morning was perfect. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely be back again. We were having issues with the water in the house, we called the helpline and they came right away to check it out. Thank you for doing that. Perfect location for family time.

We had a nice stay at Black Bear Lodge. It was clean and comfortable. Loved the hot tub! We enjoyed playing pool together. Just know that getting to the cabin is tricky. Lots of steep roads hugging the mountain. It also takes a long time to get to a town or city. If you are looking for a secluded place, this is perfect!

Black Bear Lodge lived up to its name with all of the bear themed accessories. The furniture and beds are comfy and there’s plenty of rocking chairs on the back deck for an entire family to enjoy the sunset view.

Beautiful cabin with a breath taking view. Love relaxing in the hot tub with my wife, drinking cold beer and watching the sunset behind the mountains.The mornings are great! Nothing like waking up with a warm cup of coffee sitting out on the porch and the feel of that cool crisp fall air.
