About this house rental
Courtside 53 is a recently renovated (April 2025) upstairs townhouse. This unit offers Wi-Fi along with 3 Flat Screen TV's. Courtside is 1.5 blocks from the beach and next door to Van Der Meer Tennis Center. A special membership with Van der Meer provides Courtside guests with tennis privileges up to one hour per day per condo based on availability. This community has two on-site pools, a lagoon with fountain, and parking in front door of the entry door of each property. Courtside is within 3 blocks of Coligny Plaza, the Beach Market and the Lowcountry Celebration Park. This quaint downtown area offers guests a wide selection of restaurants, shopping venues, and entertainment for all ages. This unit offers a King in the primary bedroom, 1 Queen & 1 Twin in BR 2 plus a sleeper sofa in the living room., two full-sized baths plus powder room.

The location of this condo is perfect. Close to everything you need but still quiet. Everything in the condo worked well and was in very good shape. The only minor complaint is that the pots and pans and other kitchen utensils were not in the greatest shape and a cookie sheet or larger baking pan would have been nice. All in all a great stay in a great place.

We had a nice stay at the condo. Everything was very clean and the condo was conveniently located to the beach and other attractions on the island. The pool and grounds were nice.
Check-in was very easy, with the code for the door lock texted to us on the day of arrival.
The kitchen cabinets and counters could use a refresh, and new cookware and dishes would make the stay nicer. At this rental rate, it was acceptable, but some upgrades would make the condo even better. Also, my sons said that the twin beds were noisy when they moved around.
A nice bonus was a credit towards rental beach gear. There were choices for bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas and carts. The gear was delivered and picked up at the condo, which was very convenient.

We were first time HH visitors and were really pleased with everything we experienced. Courtside 53 was located in a wonderful area and offered great amenities. The unit itself could use a little updating. Th A/C stopped working one eve but was repaired the very next day. The Toaster did not work and cookware was sparse. I had to boil water to wash dishes because the water in the kitchen sink would only reach luke warm temperatures. The furniture upholstery could use a good cleaning. We covered the chairs with sheets to set on. The curtains and bedspreads need replaced or deep cleaned.

First impression was poor due to smell of mildew; old, dirty carpeting, lack of blackout shades; no pillows in 2nd bedroom; dirty cabinets and dishes; ancient glasses and not enough of them. Large unit and charming neighborhood courtyard & pool with an excellent location only 2 blocks to beach. Put in LVP throughput, get new dishes and glassware, blackout shades and we would rent here again. Do a deep carpet clean in the meantime.
